Just to hot to wear a watch today

Hot and sticky in in Cordoba in September, what’s it like in high summer?
I decided it was just to uncomfortable for even my lighter Smiths, hand wind.

Anyone else ever reach the same conclusion?

No. Always wear a watch even when temps are in the forties. Although typically a dry heat here.

Nope, I live in Spain 5 months a year and never found it too hot to wear a watch - sounds like you got a medical condition such as an allergy to the bracelet material.

Anyway it's cool in Spain at the moment, just a miserable 32 degrees.

Nope - spend most summers near Almería and always wear a watch, usually on bracelet but sometimes a NATO (although they gather suncream)

Sorry only joking, to be honest I've never found it made any difference. But then I do live in England with a pretty bland climate!!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Nope, never. I lived in Agrentina for 3 years and still not a day went by that it felt too uncomfortable to wear a watch, and my god was it hot most of the time!

It was just really sticky in Cordoba strap got moist in no time and rubbed.

In Ciudad real now it’s a little cooler.

Is this a thinly disguised 'look at me, I'm in Cordoba' thread??

On a serious note I've been to a lot of places and never found it too hot to wear a watch. The only deviation from this was wearing a G-Shock on a length of para cord around my neck in the jungles of Belize.

I don’t think so it’s not that glamorous

I wouldn’t have gone if I realised the amount of tourists and tat on sale, it was just part of my route.

Gone down to 28 in Taiwan, and it feels refreshingly cool compared to 2 weeks ago. Haven't worn a leather strap since I have been here. And I would say Asian climate destroys leather and has ruined a louis vuitton bag 😭😭😭

I was struggling in the heat/humidity I can usually wear a lighter watch.

here’s how the local police where outfitted when riding.
I was wearing Kevlar jeans, heavy black jacket, full face helmet and big boots everything stuck to me.

Still it was better than rain

how close is the nearest gas station

I ride the alpes maritimes quite a bit in summer, it can get hot, I use an exo vest on the bike, bit of protection and very cool to wear.

Had a villa just outside Seville in 2013 and had watches on all the time but it was only 38C.

I can imagine if u start too feel overheated then one might take some emergency measures so I suppose the trick is to avoid getting that bad if at all possible. Measures include, but not limited to; ice cream, wear less, ice cream, stay in shade, ice cream, cold beer, ice cream, dip in the sea, ice cream, ice pack, ice cream, big sun hat and oh yep ice cream!
