Another Hodinkee - Longines Heritage Skin Diver

This time not a limited edition by the look of it.

If you can get past the achingly on-trendedness of it I do think it's a pretty handsome watch. Would have preferred it at the original size of 40mm, mind.

I like it. Nice and thin too, for a dive watch

Divers should have a bit of meat on them though.

Disagree - I love the vintage ‘Skin Diver’ aesthetic and find most modern proportioned divers much too thick and heavy for everyday wear.

This isn’t a Hodinkee special but just a newish Longines model they now stock.

It's completing with a lot of well made good stuff out there at around half the price - assuming it is £2k in the UK

I like quite a lot of Longines watches, but I think that's horrible.

The bezel doesn't look like it belongs with the watch and the lume looks like, well, let's leave it there...

US only though - no international shipping. Nice watch

It’s got a bit of the blancpain x HODINKEE vibe?

Looks very Ollech & Wajs (in everything but the price!)

Not bad... but you can bet if it really was a HODINKEE collaboration, it would have been 40mm like the original. You can almost hear the writer biting his tongue when we says it’s now 42mm. However it is easier to get that pleasantly flat look with a larger case. I quite like it, though the hour hand reminds me of something...

    Or possibly a psychoanalyst

For reference, here it is next to the original, it’s a pretty faithful reproduction, though for me the extra 2mm is a deal breaker. Others will say the opposite of course. If anything the proportions / lugs look slightly better on the new one, but at the expense of a larger case.

    The lume is horrendous.
