Thanks for that. That sort of thing can make your blood run cold for a bit.
I once had that on an item incoming from abroad.
Just thought I’d let you all know about a small glitch/error/miscommunication I experienced today while waiting for a RMSD.
If it happens to you, then this should help you relax.
The tracking system informed me that the parcel I was awaiting was being sent back to sender. This was early morning before the postman had done his rounds. Despite this, the parcel was still safely and timely delivered to me.

Royal Mail tracking is rubbish.
Their tracked / insured services themselves have generally deteriorated in the last couple of years --- to include outright losses, in my experience.
I have noticed their tracking has deteriorated as up to about a year ago, there was a status of out for delivery, and the time that changed gave me an indication of when it would be delivered (before 5:30 and I would get it around 7:30, otherwise just before 1pm).
Now it just says at local delivery office
I became most worried when i learned about what they do at the National Returns Centre
"As there’s no return address, we’ll open the item to try and find a sender’s address."
Dear lord, I thought i was about to swoon!
