Eddie, I hope you don't feel this is presumptuous, but have you considered getting some help with shipping, especially at these busy launch times. Perhaps there is a retired, trustworthy, long time member in your area who could help? None of us want your Mrs to find you slumped over in a pile of bubblewrap.

    Trying to be patient....

...but so excited to get this watch. I absolutely don't want to bother Eddie at the moment so I wondered if those who have received watches today would mind sharing what time their order went through. Keen to try to narrow down a rough delivery time frame.

    Thanks!

Mine went through at 14.04, that's the time on the email confirmation, would have been earlier but had trouble with SagePay

I have my first ever single digit serial number and a very nice one it is as well, 09019009

A long-shot I know, but if anyone receives their Expedition and realises it is not for them, could you contact me please.

    I’ll place a WTB accordingly.

I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these but seriously, from someone who’s suffered a fairly life changing/limiting illness over the past couple of years, just take it easy Eddie.

The watches will always sell like hot cakes, the quality of previous models shows that you’re all over production and no one could ever say you’re not trying to do your very best. I’m sure you’re desperate to get back to it ASAP, even if it’s only for financial reasons but as others have said, much better you’re there to oversee that process in the long run, than the potentially rather unpleasant alternative.

I had talked myself out of one of these as I think the Air Ministry is beautiful. Now that the real life photos are coming through I am having second thoughts.

Does the second hand look pink in real life or is it just the lighting in the pics?

Can't beat a good pink pounding. And what you do for extra cash is up to you. But what about the watch?

    I think it's a slightly orangey red.

I like a red tip, but that's just me.

See you on the Pride march!

  22. #222
Whatever you call it, it's lovely, bright red would have been too much, I'm calling it amaranth and cerise mix

Collected mine from the post office this afternoon and am a very happy man indeed. Off to town in the morning to have the bracelet sized, wouldn’t be a very happy ending if I do it myself

Arrived Friday lunchtime, so quickly adjusted bracelet and on the wrist rest of weekend!
Seems small after 40mm Everest but is a beautiful piece, really like tapered bracelet and clasp.
If this is what Eddie’s putting out while not 100% I fear for my wallet when he’s back to full health.

Can someone post a wrist shot of the inside of their wrist looking straight on to show the clasp please ? Also, what is the outside clasp dimension?

It was just something on the crystal , though I have noticed I've scuffed the clasp on the

Great shots - can hardly wait for mine to arrive. Can I request a slightly longer distance, full arm or torso shot, as I'd really like to see the wrist presence from afar?

Great to see more and more pictures of the exhibition appearing. And the positive comments on this stunning timepiece. Sadly mine will be residing in the watch box for a few weeks as I recover from a broken arm and arthritic wrist sustained after a fall on Friday afternoon, but luckily I had two days of wear beforehand.

I received my Expedition today. The quality and finish of the watch is superb. For a watch of this size it has a wonderful weight and substance.I am very very happy with it. I have been looking for something like this for many years. My father wore a very similar watch on a tan pigskin strap in the 1950s which he replaced in the early 1960s with a Rolex Tudor Oyster Prince. The Smiths Expedition for me reminds me of both of my fathers watches . I am a very happy man today.
