It's here. A pretty shiny thing. There's some heft to it too. More later. Thank you Mr Platts.

    I have the same dilemma

That was my exact order so let me know what you decide as I will have the same lovely dilemma soon enough. Initially, I was thinking the solution lies in the observation that I am fortunate enough to have two wrists.

Recieved my Expedition today as well as a PRS10.

Still yet to even open the package as it's been a hectic day.

But would like to thank you Eddie for getting all these orders out so quickly considering your recent health issues.

Are you talking about the Expedition or the Everest, as I'm itching for my Expedition

I've been lurking for a while and have been tempted by the 40mm prs25. Then I heard about and waited for the 36mm prs25, then I heard about a new bracelet with rivets and waited longer for the 36mm prs25. Finally the new bracelet comes out and it's on this new everest dial. It looks stunning, glad I was patient but now I have to wait again for sales to open up! I think the everest will be my next watch, after that the black dial prs25 and possibly the white dial at a later date XD. May have to sell some seikos to afford all of this

I very much like the way the bracelet tapers in little steps just like the old expanding ones did.

A little dark driving to work this morning, so a rubbish picture, but this is what I wore today...

I love the Expedition, it is such a classy watch (and I am partial to a bracelet), but the PRS29a is what got my Smiths taste buds going in the first place and I have been dying to wear it. It made me smile all day long, I even wore my bifocals so I could see it properly whenever I looked at my wrist without having to reach for my reading glasses. Smitten.

I'm back home now and getting to know the Expedition a bit better.

In real life... all the black lines and all the verbiage on the dial... are a lot more subdued. I would go as far as to call it an elegant dial. My favourite part is the two-step dial.

I've had a few days with the Everest Expedition now and I am loving it more and more. To be really, really picky, I would perhaps slightly widen the minute hand and improve the clasp on the bracelet, which doesn't fasten entirely convincingly and feels a little tinny. However, these are very minor points and the watch is just ticking so many boxes. My other half is even angling to wear it 'occasionally' - she is somewhat accident-prone with mechanical watches, so I am yet to agree to that...

If you want a firmer fastening, just bend the little prong on the clasp slightly.

Let thine other half have it and get yourself an Everest White Dial. The Expedition looks like a nurse's watch anyway.

I fell in love with the Expedition the first time I saw a rendering of it. And I wanted it there and then (while fearful that 36mm might be too small). When I realised that the watch wasn't going to be ready for months and months I got myself another 36mm that I wanted to try. The Marathon General Purpose Mechanical. Going from 45mm to 36mm... especially with 16mm lugs... is let's say, interesting.

Over the last few months I really enjoyed the Marathon. The tritium tubes were wonderful and I wish more watches used them, but 8-12 years useful life is not long enough...

The Marathon is now gone. I can only handle one 36mm watch at a time. I didn't want to post this pic until after it was sold in case the forum police thought I was using this thread to sell the Marathon.

The Expedition is one of Eddie's best watches.

I am told that Greens Watch Services (aka http://www.traserwatches.co.uk) can replace the tubes on all watches that use them.
