Mine arrived, and for me the quality is excellent especially considering the price. The bezel is bi-directional and click less, just like an Amphibia, but it's smooth and not loose. Time keeping excellent, well it is quartz. The case shape and polishing is very nice. The strap looks good and is surprisingly comfortable, although the buckle keeper can be very hard to click back down when you adjust it, but get the adjustment right (very simple to do), and you only have to do it once. Overall, practical, good looking, and great vintage looks without vintage issues. If prices do tank, and I guess they must go down as more are released, I can't see them dropping below a hundred secondhand, so no real risk. Good lick picking one up next time.

    Got mine at the weekend.
Not keen on the bracelet and thought it would look the dog's doodads on a nato.
Admitted defeat 2 frustrating hours later.

To balance out the positive opinions, I would say for small wrists, the strap overlap does dig into the skin and can be uncomfortable over time. If there was a way to permanently shorten it, that could help. Or maybe put it on a leather strap?

Also if you are OCD, it's pretty difficult to set the time accurately. The minute hand wobbles a lot during setting and annoyingly moves when you push the crown back in so getting it bang on 12 at :00 seconds is nigh on impossible. But hey it's a £8 movement so..

Otherwise overall, it's a great watch, a lovely size, and useful complications for everyday wear. Accuracy is good too for a quartz, mine is within 0.5s a day.

Also, glad to hear another batch is coming out next month :)

    Here is mine..

I am actually surprised with the detail included in this.

No fake rivets, no box sapphire that emulates acrylic. It looks and feels like someone dug it out of some forgotten stash from 1970ies. Even the bracelet is exactly as it would have been 40 years ago. And anodised back of bezel.

Only giveaway is backcase. It is secured with screws, and this thingie is full stainless steel, unlike chromed weekenders and original model.

Sadly after ordinging mine an Alied watch arrived, the company put a faulty link on the first email to say to me it was back in stock and I failed to check. By the time I had returned the Alied the Q was back out of stock.

Yup, ordered as well. Will do general/beater duties. A nice watch without financial risk. Thanks for the heads up that it was back in stock.

Was just about to post to say they were back in stock, beaten to it :-)

I wonder how long before they sell out this time. Would be great if they don't, and that silly speculative market on ebay just dies a death!

I didn't pull the trigger in time. I don't really need it - but looks a fantastic looking watch in the pictures. Maybe next time!!

Wait a year and there will be loads of these knocking around at £100 or so, I'm sure they are being bought up by speculators.

Nice looking watch, but I don't think it's for me. It is very easy to get caught up in the hype and before you know it you have ordered one. I suspect a few will be flipped on SC as usually happens after Eddie's latest releases. I did register to be notified when they are next in stock, then thought why have I just done that.

Note to self: enjoy from a far without getting involved or spending money .

I think I've read on watch blogs they intend to launch more Q Timex designs based off some presentation slides.. different bezel colours etc..

They have certainly hit a winner with this watch and, as you can expect, they will milk it.

Can’t decide if I want one. It’s a bit like Italian tinned tomatoes - not sure I’m that fussed, but being told there might be a shortage after October 31st makes me want to stock up.
What’s this now? Forget watches, what’s the risk to my San Marzano supply? Worse than a tsunami hitting Glashutte.

When we’re the originals made? I’m sure I had one as a schoolboy in the early 80’s in rotation with a Casio and a swatch (I was a wis even then!) - forgotten about it until I saw this thread

At risk of going OT - mine arrived yesterday - very pleased with it, the GMT setting is a joy compared with a lot, and Indiglo's a boon in the gloom given it's quite a dark-complexioned thing.
In the flesh it's a tad more restrained than pics make it appear, and it wears small for its size, so unless you have twigs for arms, you should be fine.
Its one annoyance is a very stiff bezel with poor grip - it's too smooth! Otherwise it's a lot of watch for the money, especially with discount applied.

Thanks for that! I am quite tempted but 43mm is a tad too big for me. I especially like the 24hr markings on the dial as well as the bezel.. proper way to track 3 time zones.

Think it was 79' Rob so probably was an original.

Mine arrived today, fun watch but I'm wondering how much it might actually get worn. If I decide not to keep it I'll offer it up on here before sending it back, in case anyone missed out and is still looking for one.

Very similar styling, slightly larger case, and not a bad price. I wonder if it has the same simple charm as the Q though? Very nice all the same.

An automatic at this price point will be a terrible timekeeper. Stick with a quartz movement Timex!
