    Q-Timex ̶B̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶a̶g̶a̶i̶n̶ ̶1̶6̶.̶1̶0̶.̶1̶9̶ Sold out in 1 Hour

The Q-Timex reissue, which has been sold out for months and fetching silly premiums on eBay, is now available.

I like it, but not at asking price. £99 is about it's mark.

Indeed. When it was first released I had one in the basket at the Timex UK website but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed overpriced. I procrastinated long enough for it to be out of stock. My feelings have remained the same so I won't be going for it this time around either.

I like it and I think the price is pretty fair but 50m WR kills it for me.

This. Would make a nice holiday watch if it had a bit more WR.

I could just about justify it to myself if the 15% discount code for signing up to the newsletter had worked.

Small print says it doesn't apply to the Marlin . . .

. . . but even smaller print says it doesn't apply to the Q either.

Scuba diving aside, when would you ever go deeper than a few metres whilst swimming?

I know you could view it as honest, but it amazes me when they use a publicity shot showing the second hand hitting right between the markers. My eyes were drawn straight to it.

I wouldn’t necessarily go swimming with only 50m WR. I don’t want to open this debate again as it’s been done a hundred times but 50m WR isn’t recommended for swimming.

Exactly. Breitling cant even manage it on a £6k B55 so cut Timex some slack!

For the money, it looks a bargain! Glad to know it was a reissue of a watch that launched in 1979 - my birth year. Will probably pass it to my son when he's older.

Meantime, I browsed the Timex site and came across their Batman! 43mm though :(

Managed to buy a couple. Find it strange that people are immediately trying to flip these on eBay. The premium is about +£80 after all costs / fees now. Hardly worth flipping in my opinion (unless you're doing it at scale!) but each to their own.

I think they'll make great gifts...

I managed to get 5. 1 each for myself and the missus, 1 for my brother in law, 1 for a fellow watch nut who had been after one for ages and then I'm going to keep one BNIB for display. The 15% thing worked also if you contact customer services.

Lol nice! My 15% didn't work, sadly. And I got a bit nervous they'd sell out...so just pulled the trigger

    Enjoy the family Timex time

Managed to bag 2. One to wear and enjoy, one to keep mint. Shocked they were sold out within an hour of getting the email from Timex!

Sounds like Ryan bagged most of them. Regardless of the price, the fact that bezel and seconds hand don't line up (if the photo is anything to go by) would annoy the t1ts off me.

Why would you be shocked, with the 'chosen few' (opportunists) buying multiple items, you bought two, Ryan bought five,
Two enthusiasts accounting for seven watches, as it happens I didn't want one but if I had I'd be pretty miffed.

So absolutely no one else on this forum ever buys an extra watch to keep mint do they? Now I'm truly shocked!

If anyone has one spare that they’ed like to sell to a fellow watch enthusiast then I’m all ears!

I hovered over the buy button for a minute or two then came to my senses – loose bezel, no WR, cheap quartz movement.

I'd wear it once and forget about it so not worth spending £160 on.

Is it just coincidence that fleaBay is suddenly flooded with these?

Crikey look at the prices, no doubt all bought by enthusiasts that just haven't 'bonded' with them.

I bought 27. I’m keeping 26 of them in the safe to sell when I grow old and need the money. The other one will be worn on special occasions.

Have you thought about keeping one of the 26 ‘BNIB for display’?

Bonded? I’m not sure they’ve been received in their sweaty mitts yet going by the use of stock photographs instead of actuals.

Hey mate PM me. You can have one of mine at whatever price they eventually charge me so if they do apply the 15% it will be at that price.

They are claiming there’ll be more on sale next week.

Can’t decide if I want one. It’s a bit like Italian tinned tomatoes - not sure I’m that fussed, but being told there might be a shortage after October 31st makes me want to stock up.

It’s a friction bezel so no excuse for not lining up perfectly.

Missed out again! email had gone to my junk folder.
Have requested to be noticed when back in stock for a second time!

Received mine today. Wearing it now. Missus says it's the nicest watch I've bought/own. As this list includes Omega, Tudor, Oris, etc, etc, watches, this is high praise indeed!

One point is that I have one of those flat wide wrists, and the bracelet is not that flexible/comfortable straight out of the box. Hopefully it will free up in time.

Mine have arrived also today, I am amazed by the looks and finish at the price (the looks at any price!), I'd happily wear one in any company, any occasion. I find the strap quite comfortable, but as I have thin wrists it probably wraps around easier.

im really wanting this - put it on my xmas list - I live in hope.....

In a mad moment the other day, I almost pulled the trigger on a Timex Marlin 34mm in order to scratch that mechanical/vintage itch. I decided £175 was too much for a bloody Timex with a cheapo Chinese movement, but it still gives me no trouble to understand why the watch sold out.

I love my one, it's a great watch when you just should go to the store for example when the mechanical have stopped.
Just put it on, time is set (maybe the wrong date) but that is the good thing with a Quartz watch.

The only bad is the bracelet is little sharp at the sides.

Seem to be a lot on flea bay at varying prices. Wonder if the demand is really there for the inflated prices, and if not how long before the prices dive as the chancers try to recoup what they can!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Did anyone receive it yet from the second batch? Curious for some more honost reviews, impressions, comments and so on. Missed out so back on the list for the third batch.
