    In Memory of Lorne Gifford

I'm wearing with a heavy heart, but full of pride, my Offshore Professional Field Engineer - in memory of its creator, Lorne Gifford (LorneG) who sadly passed away last week.

A wonderful fusion of engineering, obsession and genius - every detail has a reason behind it. Lorne was a true gentleman and I shall remember him each and every time I wear #135 on my wrist with my chrono hand parked at 7 secs, just how Lorne liked it!

    RIP Lorne.

    #134 Offshore Professional Engineer

A very powerful statement of Lornes technical skill and design flair. Brilliant watch.

    Rest in Peace.

I think that the reason there is such a vintage trend in watches, is that the vintage design got it just right. In size as well as style...

Worn this for a couple of weeks now, as I only take one watch up to Newcastle each week and I didn't fancy changing it last time around. I think it'll be a Tuna weekend, though.

    Friday the 13th

On the day I’ve learned that Lorne Gifford is no longer with us, my Offshore Professional Field Engineer #131 is the only watch I could conceivably wear.

    RIP Lorne.

In memory of a real gentleman I'm wearing Field Engineer No.67 bought personally from Lorne at his home on 08th August 2014, it looks as good today as it did then.
We shared many an email afterwards and he even tried to help me find work, bless him.
His passion for his family, watches, cars, life and coffee was abundant he was a genuinely lovely person and will be missed by many.
I, like many had no idea Lorne was poorly.
RIP Lorne and condolences to your family

Well said Johnny. What is the story on Lornes preference with the second hand - aesthetics or superstition?

I bought #151 from Lorne in Feb for our 20th wedding anniversary, it has become a very cherished watch. RIP Lorne.

This will be going on my wrist once I’ve sized the bracelet, after I’ve done the ironing, washing up and hoovering.
