Ooooh yeahhh
I know it’s not £10,000 worth of 321 with a dot over the 90, but it was a very smart watch.
Timex Data Link watches were frequently used by astronauts and cosmonauts on Space Shuttle, Soyuz and International Space Station missions in the 1990s, and the Ironman version (78041) was one of the few watches qualified by NASA for space flight.
Here are some NASA images showing them in action.
James H. Newman (left) and Sergei Krikalev on STS-88.
Daniel T. Barry (wearing two Data Link watches) and Ellen Ochoa on STS-96.
Krikalev again, on ISS Expedition 1.
Cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin, ISS Expedition 14 flight engineer.
Shame on those astronauts not wearing a Speedmaster..
