    You can't assume anything.

36mm speedbird is a dream come true.
    Pure class.

With tons of lume on all indices please.
Maybe 10mm thick and with 20mm lug width?

    And a tapering bracelet?

Anyhow, great stuff! I love smaller watches, welcome back Eddie!

I love the idea of a 36mm Speedbird. As a request, could you please not use the ratcheting clasps that were used on the 36mm Everest and the current 39mm Speedbird? They're just too bulky and the corners are too sharp and refined. They're pretty horrible in my opinion.

    Eddie,

How about a new version of the PRS-17, ie the PRS-17B or preferably the PRS-88Q with the 1988 dial that was overlooked previously in favour of the 1989 dial?

    Thanks,

    Dave

A PRS88Q is a good suggestion, if suggestions are desired.....Been a few originals for sale recently which was nice to see.

I'd certainly be interested in a new 17C if it was as competitively priced as before.

I suspect the others are talking about the diver, though....

Since we are at the wish list stage I'd be interested in a "Commando" version of the Everest. :)

    Future plans

    “Burn the witch!”

Actually a quartz Everest could be cool, using a really good movement like the prs-18 COSC. But not high on my wish list. Could be a great Christmas gift for the grab & go family member however...

36mm Speedbird would be fab especially if was sterile. I’ve had my eye on a MKII Hawkinge but a 36mm Speedbird would trump that. Not even fussed about a date window.

Very nice design.I am surely not the only one to see this as a 1940s Breitling Premier style. A reissue of this would sell well i think.

It’s a precista branded Gallet Multichron 45. Early Valjoux 7730 and a 36mm stainless screwback case. It’s always been a bit of a personal fave.

Quickly checked out the going rate for them. Unfortunately beyond my budget, lovely as they are.

I'd love to but which movement? I won't use Chinese and it shouldn't be quartz.

Some might not be too bothered if you used a Quartz movement (like Ewan's), even less so if you also offered an auto or manual.

If Chinese isn't an option - the ST19 would be the obvious choice - then it's not easy if ETA supplies aren't readily available (or cost effective)

The Sellita SW510M is a hand-wound chrono with 3/6/9 layout with the minutes at 3, hours at 6 and running seconds at 9. I am sure they would be prepared to omit the hours for a bi-compax. I reckon it could be made to be sold for below Ł1500 (of course it depends on the number of units ordered).

I have no interest in such a watch.... just saying.

    An example:

I think sellita do a bi-Compax handwinder as well nowadays- although it might be a mono pusher I think.
I’ve got one of Ewan’s newmarks with the meca-quartz movement. It’s a great watch, but I do miss having to wind it, strangely enough.

Precista did a gold plated version of this model as well that seems to pop up about as regularly as the SS versions on eBay. In good nick they’re pretty classy. They also did a snap back version of the stainless case that was a few shillings cheaper.

Will the 38mm PRS-2 have the same anti-magnetic rating?

On the Fricker and Kemmner watches, the anti-magnetic rating was theoretical using industry standard calculations. The new manufacturer actually tests them but his test equipment only measures up to 20,000A/m and that's all that is claimed, even though the watches are still manufactured to the same spec as the Fricker and Kemmner watches.

Would love to see it with your existing Speedbird "script" branding in the top half of the dial, and then the BOAC Speedbird logo in the bottom half.

If its going to have unisex appeal, I think it would be best to combine the more gentle, old-fashioned numerals from the Speedbird I with the lovely Italic script Speedbird logo

Any plans on modifying the PRS-29A at all? i'm sure others have expressed the opinion that the open "4" doesn't look as good as the old PRS-29A/original W10 nor does the alignment of the numbers (particularly the 6). I'm a big fan of the other changes like the sapphire crystal and drilled lugs so I'm torn on whether I should purchase a new one with a dial that's not as true to the original or see if I can purchase one of the old ones secondhand. As I intend to take this watch to the field and on deployments perhaps that would be the best course of action as the fixed lugs are much stronger.

Would love to see a mock-up of a no-date one with a piano black dial and options for this bezel as well as PRS3 or PRS82 bezel. Might not look right I know.

    What do others think?
