Want a Daytona? You're doing it wrong

This guy is freaking hilarious. He's on a few business related groups I'm a member of and for an unknown reason they all think he's some sort of horology guru. Check out his recent tip on how to get a desirable Rolex. I promise this isn't from a joke facebook page or anything.

He's also *cough* "made" a few pretty damn poor spec watches which he flogs at eye-watering prices to others on the groups. You can check out Stanage Watches here: https://stanagewatches.com/ The Parnis Portugese-a-like with the Seagull ST25 movement for almost a grand is particularly funny.

Offer him 10% commission if he can get you a brand new hulk at RRP.

I cannot believe a prospective Rolex customer would buy anything from the models I saw on his website.

His posts must provide a lot of amusement. And they think he's an expert!

When i I saw that post (I’m a member on the same business business group) I had a small chuckle. I was going to post it on here as well as I just couldn’t believe what I was reading!

Maybe someone should tell him how much Daytona’s are worth second hand. He could make a fortune!

If only we’d all tried this first time round. The ADs are going to be busy tomorrow.

Sounds like a major troll , if not he must have some derren brown technique , where rolex employees subconsciously find themselves uncontrollably making their way to the stock room, and coming back with Daytonas.

Very funny. Thanks OP for posting.

That ‘DoubleDial’ model is beyond horrendous.

    Hmmmmm
Should I pay £995 for a bespoke timepiece,
or £60 for the Parnis version of the same watch from AliExpress, with free delivery from China.

Having just bought a Rolex sub, I waited 2 months longer than hoped. No big deal. However I am going to take his advice and go back and push for the Batman.

Funny feeling his advice won’t work and I’ll be told to Foxtrot Oscar.

Certainly won’t be buying one his bespoke watches though!

Being arrogant and lacking knowledge is quite a childish trait, I suppose the #hashtag generation will suck up his spiel though..

This comes in quite handy if you frequent two timezones with an 8 second difference. Excellent watch.

I can see Stanage joining the ranks of first echelon modern watch marques alongside Montres Allison...

    Hahaha, I hadn’t noticed that. It’s a bit tragic.
