    Alden unlined chukkas

having admired these for sometime i think this winter is the year to buy them, at £600 they are pretty pricey for some chukkas! anyone got any tips on shaving a little off?

    https://www.trunkclothiers.com/alden...ka-snuff-suede

I have a vague recollection before of someone mentioning to me a code you can use on a first order from trunk or kafka?

All due respect but they don’t even look warm or waterproof. But that may just be my ignorance

    They are nice, but..

The £6c will buy you nearly 2x pairs of Cheaney Garforths which are just about the best made chukkas available, without going bespoke.

For that money I'd rather have a pair of Church Shanghais tbh.

No offence to anyone but paying £600 for a pair of boots or shoes seems crazy to me. I recently bought a pair of Merrell boots for £85 and nearly balked at that.

I paid £600 for some Indys and couldn't find a way of getting them much cheaper as so few places sell them in the Uk and they know it

Have a look at the Loake 1880 Pimlico chukka boot. Lined & with a dainite sole for a third of the price. The Aldens look like a glorified Clarke’s desert boot to me.
