I collected some spectacles from Specsavers a few years ago and they failed to give me a complimentary cleaning cloth. Ruined it for me and I’ve not since been able to look the spectacles in the eye.

On a more serious not, maybe they had run out as they had with my Specsavers experience above.

I think Rolex was definitely giving green service pouches in 2003. Also a 2003 service pouch should be much more valuable than a current edition. You have definitely being cheated at the time, I suggest you contact a sollicitor and start a process to recover the damage you have suffered.

Just buy one off eBay if you really want one and save yourself from an embarrassing phone call

I Have one from 2015 and the 'L' is nearer the 'E' and quite a gap away from the 'O' but it doesn't glow anymore ?

    RO LEX

Must be worth considerably more than a normal well made one ?

I purchased an Tudor oyster bracelet for my chrono- time a few years ago from St. James. After it was fitted & paid for, I simply asked for a Rolex pouch & the nice lady opened a drawer under the counter & handed one over.

When I had my Sub serviced with RSJ via WOS , i never received the pouch. I don't know wether WOS kept it or never sent it back to them in one...

You should've seen the girl in Omega Place du Casino boutique I popped in on Monday to esquire about that ridiculously overprices new Titanium Ultralight Aqua Terra. I came out nourishing a semi and pair of stiff nipples.. (That may be partially due to excessive air conditioning though)

I wonder how they decided on 2011 as the answer they'd give to a spurious email....

It may well be that several mischievous individuals decided to wind up Rolex Customer Services, but as I genuinely wanted to know when this practice started I decided to email as the Customer Services couldn't provide an answer as the current staff hadn't been there long enough.(17 years!!) Secondly I was a little fed up that a simple question couldn't be given a simple answer. I so wanted to let the forum know the answer so we can put it all to rest

I did call but the staff hadn't been there for that long so they didn't know the answer. They suggested that I email Rolex Customer Services
I did this on Monday and I received the answer today. An unusual email request indeed, but still an answer was given to me.

Picked up a green pouch today with a serviced watch.

If anyone is interested? Picked up a 2014 Stainless steel Daytona today from my AD in a green pouch with the service 10 step booklet and green service card. The service was carried out at Rolex London. No mention of the work carried out just a charge of £500. Missed the five year warranty by one blood year. Watch looks brand new but there was not a lot to do to its finish.

Shame, if only you’d have left the watch with them for nine years, still, you were the one in a hurry to get it back. Did Greg say which month in his email response?

Reminds me of the time I went into Rolex St James.Could I get a rolex pouch? No, only when you get it serviced.Could I get a screwdriver to adjust the links? No,go to your dealer. Both times they showed the items to me before refusing to sell. There was another person there with his work colleagues on their lunch break and he had scratched his new watch - would it be possible to Polish it? No,we would only do this when you have a service.

I've had similarly ridiculous experiences at St James'.

I went in to get a new buckle for my vintage Rolex. "No you can't have a buckle, you need to buy a strap and the buckle will come with it". "Okay, I'll take a strap please". "We don't sell that strap size any more". "How do I get a buckle then?" "You need to look somewhere else."

Utterly terrible service. I complained and they sent a letter in reply but didn't put postage on it so I had to pay for the pleasure...sound move.

Always found the staff in there to be smug and arrogant.

£500 for a Daytona service, seems cheap.

...amazingly people actually put them up for sale sometimes!
Quoting myself here...but...it appears people actually DO put these up for sale quite regularly!!!

So...if my crappy faux suede rollie pouches are worth 22 notes each, then how much would l get for a 100% genuine clear plastic rolex "coffin"?? I would include the polystyrene insert for free....

Edit... or should l leave them to my children?
