    The problem with holiday watches.....

So I'm leaving the house to head off on holiday and grab my trusty holiday watch..... as I go to change the time when we land I realise the battery has died :-(

I have to admit it's going to be a struggle to have no watch for 2 weeks..... I'll survive for now by ordering an extra beer!!

    perfect excuse to:-

    1. buy a new one at the airport
    2. buy one at some swanky shop whilst on holiday as a "memory" of "such a nice time we had dear" ....

Oh well, you can always do an Easy-Rider.

p.s. But stop at the early stages of the film!

I always take a G shock with world time set to the country I am going to. 1 press of the button and I am on the right time, plus solar means it should never experience a battery issue......unless it rains all the time and my battery is knackered

That would do me in and is why my holiday watch is an auto. Still usually have my solar G as backup.

Or just buy a solar or automatic in the first place as a holiday watch

Find a local AD at your destination - and get something nice. I am sure the family won't mind?

SKX with a 12hr bezel will be my holiday watch in 2 weeks.

Day / Date / Dual time (bezel) / Waterproof / No batteries / No worries :)

Hmmmm I did have a couple of holiday watches but I always felt like i'm compromising myself by wearing one instead of choosing the one I really want to wear, holiday is supposed to be enjoyable and freedom.

Now I tend to choose a watch I want, just one and never take it off whilst on holiday and not get too concerned about " what if's ".
