The one person who would know is Eddie. Why don't you ask him directly? Sure he's got nothing better to do, and your friend's need to register is obviously of utmost importance.
Please tell me your 'friend' isn't joining TZ to enquire about the best way to buy a Rolex.

No sorry guys, my mistake. I told him it was a friendly place for watch enthusiasts. He is a watch collector and very active on the Breitling owners group on Facebook I thought he’d enjoy it here. Guess I’m wrong to try and bring him here. Thought I was was reasonable to enquire in here why that same message has been on and new memberships stopped since the end of July.

In the main it is a friendly place but some can appear a bit grumpy.

Given Eddie's just undergone a serious operation, well publicised on the forum, and the reason for the temporary lockdown is known - I found the persistent request over a minuscule inconvenience rather pathetic.
Fair question about the sauce, but I usually abstain on a school night.
Straight forward genuine questions with a reasonable response seem hard to ask now days for some reason on here!
