    Citizen discount - BN0118-12L

I’m assuming this watch is the Ray Mears replacement ?

I can get 25% off at H Samuel ... but looks like they only sell the blue faced dial ..

Is this watch available with black dial on a fabric strap (not interested in the metal strap version) ?

    So...

Can anyone direct me to a better discount, or failing that to a black dialled version.

Other than the date window which is clearly too small, the overall dial and features lend it well for an everyday beater !

A number have come up on Sales Corner recently, so you may hear from a seller. I think at the £200 mark.

They are very nice watches indeed, I wear mine on a Hirsch pure rubber strap. Excellent time keeping, very light, seconds hand hits all the marks, Eco drive and of course the monocoque case.
Only two slight drawbacks, the date window is tiny and the watch wears small despite being 40mm.

    Thanks.
Other than the nostalgia of the original Ray Mears design, I assume the newer version is an evolution of the first and WR to 300m ?

Think I’ve found one with black dial with a small discount.
Just like the idea of a beater like this and the dial is great.

The original model had "only" 200 m of water resistance but had a protected, coated titanium case, better anti-magnetic and shock resistance. Still the new one holds up well, in my experience.

Since the 25% discount was available until tomorrow only, I’ve pulled the trigger on the blue model.
Let’s see what it looks like

The Ray Mears 2 has now been reviewed over at the ever excellent Fratellowatches, and no surprise they like it.

Great price and I'd have bought one if I had the funds.

I so wish they did one of these with a 0-60 bezel.
It would cover so many bases, a real do-it-all watch.
