... or not!
A 30min drive from home with the dogs to Bawdsey coast, out for a hot day coastal walk thinking there will be crowds of whipper snappers, but no, hardly anyone - I love this part of the world (but don't tell anyone)
Anyhow, I forgot my camera so please bear with, and as we were strolling I composed a picture from the landscape and in my mind, of scenes from Apocalypse Now. See pic below (sorry for the quality)
Viet cong in the shelter, Cap'n Willard on the boat coming up the river (just need some mist). I discussed this with my good lady, but not much of a response, so can you see it?
To the right of the picture above, was a glorious walk (below) and the dogs loved to cool off in the sea (shingle street in the distance).
This part of the coast had defenses for invasions by Napoleon and the Nazis, with Martello towers every mile or so, to left of the Mrs LuvWatch above are battery instalations. One of the Martello towers has been turned into a luxurious holiday let (follow the rail in the above pic). Yours for about £2k a week.
Lots of Swift's out this afternoon.
Hope you all took the time to enjoy the weather.

Daa-da-da-da-DAA-da, da-da-da-DAA-da, da-da-da-DAAA-da, da-da-da-daaaaaaa!
When I went to the Phillipines, in the 80s...I went down a river which was supposed to be where some of the filming for the movie was done...it was great.......I "assume" it was the same river anyway!
No internet in those days to check anything out.
We're heading for Orford Ness later in the week, which I imagine will offer some similarly apocalyptic landscapes. I've been advised to wear my lead-lined underpants.
Make sure that you visit Pump Street Bakery. All sorts of deliciousness awaits inside.
