Thread: Time only Rolex on strap

    Time only Rolex on strap

I've always loved the look of Rolexes on strap. Having bought my first Rolex about a year ago (114060), I pulled the trigger again on this salmon dial Air-King (from 2003) not long after.

The watch has quickly become my favourite in the last few months - it's small, simple but not boring (such as the 3 6 9 as per Explorers.) With the right strap/bracelet, I can wear it with just about anything.

There's something about Rolex on a vintage leather strap that I can't get over. Another example in the second photo from a Talking Watches episode with Gary Shteygnart.

Would love to know your thoughts, and see your time-only Rolex on strap (OP, Air-King, Explorer etc)

    Cheers!

Here's my Explorer on a barenia leather strap back when it was new and shiny (the watch, not the strap). Shortly after put it back on the bracelet where it's mostly stayed since. I do wonder if I'd fancy it on a nice black leather strap...

I sometimes wear my Datejust (bought new in 1984) on a Rios Juchten strap.

I think my 6084 from 1952 still exudes class (unlike my photography!)

The Explorer is a close contender of my favourite Rolex... so tempted
