    GCSE Results Day!

Best of luck everyone, children and parents!

    Lucy’s a lot calmer than I expected.

My son just collected his result. He took computer science a year early self taught as the school wasn’t running it for his year group!

Very proud Rod. She put months of effort into revision so I'm also pleased she's seen how hard work pays off.

The lads results either matched or beat the predicted grades, and as such the college have offered him a place on a higher level course.
    Happy parents here.

Thanks and I agree. Sixth form at our school is excellent so she’s signing up tomorrow.

Took second born for her results this morning, 7&6s so we are all happy! Can't say I like the new numbering, think they missed a trick not going to 11:)

Interesting there was a large line of parents and kids asking how to appeal.

There were people asking to appeal at my son's school.
The school are appealing one of my son's results, he was happy with it and so were we but as it was only one point away from the next grade boundary they are appealing.

Youngest daughter got two A's in her Highers and four 9's in her iGCSEs. She is a bright spark, but she has had her troubles - bedroom bound for many years, after being bullied and then self-harming, and she has had tutors for her Highers and attended online school for her iGCSEs. Very proud she's managed to do so well despite it all. A big change coming up, she's starting at Gordonstoun ("Colditz in kilts") in 2 weeks, for 2 years [bang goes several nice watches - but you can't them anyway ...]. Pricey, but hopefully will help her transition to University thereafter. Fingers crossed!

Well done to all those children who reached their potential with their results today.

I was delighted that my little one got great results- and a lot better than I managed :)
It's just a matter of time...

    Well done to her. Congrats

My niece had similarly difficult circumstances. She worked her socks off and got 4x grade 8, 4x grade 7 and 1x grade 6.

Well done to all the nippers.

Our youngest managed a 9 (maths), an 8, 6x 7’s, 2x 6’s and a 5 in classic civ which he did as an extra subject 1hr a week.

The most important thing for him and I am sure for all yours is they put the effort in and tried their best, that means more than their grades achieved.

Little Ms Z did very well

    6 x grade 9
    1 x A*
    2 x grade 7
    2 x grade 6

She must get it from Mrs Z

Very pleased for her - as she worked very hard & now she can choose which 6th form she wants.
