I would say 50s is a good bet, the Tissot script changed from that on yours to the more modern font in 1959.
The Bonklip bracelet is a nice touch too, depending on the width, the mil watch guys love them.
another "found in a draw"
can you experts ID it for me - is it 1950's?
presumably it is worth having serviced - what would the approximate cost be assuming all is well with the movement
Is it worth a couple of hundred - not that it will be sold

Lovely watch, and possibly even as early as the forties.
First prize?
I’d have thought it’s a redial as the markings in the sub-seconds register are pretty far from the edge. Nice looker though.
Thanks guys
does anyone have any more info on this watch?
any recommends for service and approximate cost?
I’m happy to do a bit of digging but it’s hard with only the front picture as the dial is definitely repainted. Could you take a picture from the back ? Even better would be a picture of the movement and inside of the caseback, but only if you know how to do so. Can you give an accurate diameter in mm (excluding the crown) ?
Service for a vintage “time only” with a competent watchmaker should run to £100-150. Once we’ve sussed out the movement and case size it might be possible to track down an original dial.
Thanks really appreciated
I'm on holiday at the moment so cannot take any more images
What makes you think that the dial has been repainted - (because of the condition?)
No the condition is pretty good, probably too good for a watch that is likely 70+ years old which would have had a radium dial.
The obvious tells are.
1) the Tissot script looks off. Hard to explain but it doesn’t look quite right.
2) the alignment of those teardrop shaped lume plots against the black lines is not consistent. Particularly the 7 o’clock one seems to be off center. Some touch the black line and others have a gap. Shown in red.
3) the markers and figures in the subdial are too far from the edge. Original dials have them much closer to the edge of the recess. Shown in blue. Also the recess should have a texture of very clear concentric circles.
Edit to add: Here’s a good example of something similar with an original dial. The hand set looks to be essentially the same type too.

Thanks guys - I see the "poor" reproductions on the replacement face now
