    Seiko missalignment hot spot

Well, as a Seikofan, I had quite a disappointment experience in last two orders...turtle had an "off" chapter ring but (new) Sumo had a whole dial "off"! (looking at a watch it can be noticed bezel/chapter ring are centered)...

Funny, my old 1st gen Monster is perfect and the price was ridiculous compared to new ones...

Wouldn't the date window be out if the dial was off set?

That is one iffy chapter ring.

The movement can get twisted when the caseback is tightened and of course if the movement moves the dial moves with it. The date window will stay centred in relation to the date disk.

Take a look at the bezel pip, chapter ring and middle of the watch (bracelet). Only the dial is off and it is bothering me a lot...

Yes I can understand your disappointment. Can you send it back if it's a recent purchase?

The bezel on the monster is off-centre.

No, it is spot on, it is just the angle of photo. Monster is perfect

Yes, I did that. The seller accepted it (I did stated I dont want missaligned watch on the order). Nevertheless, it is frustrating

For what I have discusses with seller, these missalignments are no big deals for Seiko, it is normal in lower end series. Although, I understand a lot of people will buy a mainstream watch (a Seiko lets say) and not be looking in details like the crazy forums watch freeks OCD's, I still think it is a fraud and dishonest to sell them, I will never buy a new Seiko I didnt try (better to buy used ones from a respectable forum member). I know the movement and finish level are top notch for the price, but aesthetics is important as well
