You do know he has a certain reputation, don't you? I wouldn't give him the skin off a sh**e.
He's apparently staging a watch event in Brighton on 19OCT19. Are any TZers checking it out? I was a bit tempted but I'm already busy that weekend. It might be interesting, some of his YouTube stuff is reasonably entertaining but as I say, I'm busy that day.

Maybe he could explain what his his scam alert was about?
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
He appears more popular in the US than here; I think that might be because Brits recognise his act.....the slightly dodgy Cockney geezer. The fact that his son was convicted of major watch fraud is, of course, irrelevent.

Is this going to be an event where he spends the entire evening saying something that could have been written on the back of the invitation card?
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
I’m concerned by the safety and security of it all.
Date and precise location has been broadcast, and 1000 Rolex-wearing enthusiasts will all be heading to central Brighton. On top of this people may bring additional pieces from their collection and pieces to sell. Dealers will be there with their collections too. Yes I believe there will be a handful of paid security guards, but with 1000 odd people there, a small number of security are unlikely to be effective should the venue suffer a planned “attack”.
Hotel room safes will be full of Rolex and other fine watches, plus people may be out in town, alcohol may be involved etc and people may be vulnerable.
I think it’s an opportunity for every pick pocket, scammer and con artists to leave their patches and head to the south coast for some easy targets and rich pickings.

His act of “I am telling you this now people as I am only interested in helping my watch people out, dealers won’t like me telling you this secret, but if they have a problem with it then tough” is wearing thin.
Meh. All “you tubers”/influencers/whatever are full of %#€$
I can't usually watch his videos to the end, he goes on a bit, and a bit too much of a wideboy for me to trust.
I'd not heard of him until very recently but interested to learn that his "relative" is known round these parts, following the earlier West Sussex Watches threads; Jamie Thorpe a thoroughly disagreeable character who threw legal threats around until the law itself caught up with him, for nearly £700,000 worth of counterfeit Rolex parts. What a shame.

Who knows where Jamie learnt his business techniques? I don't. As for Mr. Thorpe senior, he reminds me of a slightly sinister Brian Conley.
Call me prejudiced and superficial but the fake teeth and tattoos put me off.
If anyone does go to his Brighton Watch Show, please let us know how it went.
So did anyone actually go to this ?
