Thread: Quick Omega 2254 question

    Quick Omega 2254 question

Was looking at a 2254 auto from 2002 the other day and noticed the place also had a 2254 quartz from 2008/9 and when looking at them there was quite a difference in lume colour on the markers between the two - the markers on the dial of the earlier watch had a very green tint to them and the later watch had more of an off white colour to it.

Just wondered if anyone could confirm that there was was a clear difference between dials depending on the year? Thanks.

There can indeed be a clear difference in lume hue between different dials.

I don't believe it depends simply on the year. There can be differences between different dial batches and it can also depend on whether watches have been stored in darkness for years or out exposed to daylight.

The dials on the quartz and auto are different, the date window is in a slightly different place and the printing is obviously different. Possibly they came from different suppliers?
