    Moth Identification

    Anyone know what species of moth this is? Just curious. Spotted this one on the side of a wooden post this afternoon and took a quick phone pic.



    Roughly AA battery sized from head to wingtip, in the above configuration.

    Looks like a species of hawk moth, probably a privet or poplar hawk moth being grey colour..
