    VHS to HDMI?

I have a VHS player which uses a scart lead, but only HDMI to my telly (via an AV-Receiver) - can I simply by a Scart to HDMI lead, - will this work?

    Many thanks!

I tried it and it was an awful experience and I sent it back.

At first it was a screwed up screen but mysteriously worked sometimes.

However the quality seemed low to me so sent it back for a refund.

it was a cheap Chinese one though so maybe you will get more luck

You cannot use a simple lead as the Scart signal is analogue & the HDMI signal is digital but you can buy small converters from Amazon or ebay. I'm not sure how good the results are so have a good look at the Amazon reviews:

Does your TV or receiver have RCA phono inputs? You can use something like this if so, picture quality will be slightly less than scart but you can still relive that 80's feeling.
