There can be only one! Which one to chop....

So I find myself almost bathing in Tudors at the mo., and brickdust as my kitchen extension continues.
I need to trim down as have been frivolous with my watch-buying of late, but am stuck pondering on which One has to go, but am undecided as to which.....

Not knowing what else is on your collection, I am only basing this on my views of the 2 watches. I would be keeping the Chrono. For me I have enough divers and that chrono is unusual and interesting to look at so for me that’s stays and is a fairly easy decision.

The chrono would go if it was me. The black bay you have is the dream. No faux lume, date, splash of red. Also the effort you went through to get it is enough to not want to do twice.

However Basel may bring treats and both may go!

The BB date is the “Steel” model, with bezel insert swapped to the BB black version.

Both full sets, in warranty and UK bought.
Same size cases but look quite different with the Chrono having a noticeably larger face, and with the 2 styles of bezel, the cases do not seem to be the same.

Both do all I need in a watch.
    Both look great.
I have a slight favourite aesthetically but both have their personal merits and their own little back-story.

    Chop chrono imo.
Snowflake hands belong on the divers.

Tough choice, but I'd keep the Chrono. Lovely watches both.

Do you wear one more than the other? That’s the best way to decide

Keep the BB. Much better, stronger design imo.

On the chrono, the sub-dials are a little timid, the minute hand is too thin and the snowflake hourhand looks incongruous on a chrono.

I'd keep both and sell something else - but if I had to I'd sell the Chrono the other is more unique as it is.
It's just a matter of time...

I would keep the Chrono. Both nice watches but have always loved the BB chrono.

The chrono for me. It got a bit of a bashing when it was introduced. I think a lot of people have warmed to it over time, myself included.

Keep the chrono. It's quite different to other chronos whereas the BB, although lovely, is a generic diver at the end of the day. Plus the chrono will enable you to accurately time an egg in your new kitchen ;)

Same here, for me the Chrono looks far more visually appealing.

I’m in the minority , I’d sell the chrono , just prefer the clean look with out the dials

    Hope that helps 😂

The chrono can only record up to 45 minutes.
    The diver up to 60.

It's a mischievous thought, but what would selling both get you?

    Personally, I'd keep the chrono.
    But:

    Is a very good point!

Therefore sell both and get a chrono with a rotating bezel.

I would keep the diver as I think a chrono needs to record elapsed hours. Just cannot see the point of not doing so.

Keep the BB. One very rarely uses a chrono function and it will cost more to service. Since watch collecting is not about accuracy but mostly aesthetics, the BB has a more balanced design. The black bezel and dial look very good together. The chrono (on the other hand) looks clumsy with the snowflake hands. it would have looked nicer if it had a black bezel. Just my opinion, but that's what was asked.

My vote is keep the diver, especially now you've managed to get the bezel changed. Never really been a fan of the chrono.

I like the Tudor snowflake hands in theory. In practice, it turned out that I found their proportions off.

What I like very much about the chrono is that its hour hand is smaller than the diver's, which I find much more pleasing. So I'd sell the diver. Then I'd sell the chrono too, because I'm not a fan of what some people call the 'slab-sided' case.

Those quibbles aside, both are great watches and this is a nice dilemma to have.

I'm biased, but the BB chrono' is the one to keep, after all it encases the wonderful Breitling BO1 column wheel vertical clutch movement, one of the best chrono' movements in the world. Mine's going nowhere.

I'd get rid of the Chrono, prefer the look of the diver.
