    Vintage Heuer parts and servicing

    Hi

I am looking to get a vintage Heuer Bund serviced and the crown tube replaced. I have contacted a number of the specialist watch repairers (eg Genesis) and some have said they don’t service Heuers due to a lack of parts availability.

The service should be pretty straightforward, does anyone have recent experience of someone who can get the parts and will service a vintage Heuer? Any recommendations gratefully received.

    Thanks

    For parts, try

    Thomas Heydolph - theydolph@t-online.de

He trades as 'namib' on MWR and is very helpful.

My Bund is currently with Simon Freese

I’ve got a box of bits somewhere. Used to have crowns and pushers too but none left. Here’s some pictures. Can try and help if you get stuck.

I’ve used Richard Askham (watch spot) with great results

I currently have a Heuer with Rich, he's done a few of mine, and I've had one done by Simon Freese too.

Be prepared to wait a year. It’s worth it.

He did a watch for me and he’s a cut above

Thanks all. I did contact Simon Freese but haven’t had a reply. Will try the others.

Seems like a long wait wherever I look!

Abel's the only person to go to for a full restoration, his case lapping is second to none. For a basic service and new crown tube it's overkill really. Rich or Simon (and Duncan Potter at Genesis - he's done one of mine too) are extremely good at what they do without the added expense of postage and insurance to Belgium, and you don't have to wait as long.

I contacted Duncan and he said he no longer services vintage Heuer’s due to parts availability.

I know this is an old thread, but who did you settle on for the parts?

    Vintage Heuer parts and servicing

Nic Green aka Heuerboy might be worth a shout - it’s been a while since I’ve heard much from chat about but he was the go-to person for vintage Heuer in the UK.

    His website is chronomatic.com

(Apologies if you already got it sorted - just saw how old the thread was)

    Back from the depths!

I have a lovely 3647S that needs servicing and a bezel insert (I know, finding this is like hens' teeth) - anyone that can be recommended at the moment?
