There’s always lots of talk about expensive watches on here but what is the cheapest watch in your collection and why do you keep it?
Mines a solar atomic G-shock bought for me by my wife one Christmas.
The perfect beater.

Also gets the most wrist time by far

G-shock 5600 that I wear for work.
Casio F91W
Though it is on a leather Toshi strap which possibly ups the value...
It would be this old CCCP dialled Vostok for me. £20 from the bottom of a bits and bobs box.
16700. Seen here with posh bro. Need to up my game.

Another G Shock here. Not overly keen on it but it serves its purpose extremely well.
This one. That I wear anyway.
I have a couple of quartz tissots that were my mothers. I think they're technically the cheapest but I cant get them over my paw so I'm not going to count them.
This one was free with a £7 pair of new trousers.
20 years old and still running sweetly after a battery change.
Other than the ubiquitous G shock? This. 18th birthday present. Priceless.

A cheap watch on a cheap strap... Liking nice watches needn't be all about the £££££
Picked this up 2nd hand for a tenner. The nato cost more!
I cant think of much else i can have more fun with for a tenner, that wont leave me sick as a dog the morning after.
5610 @ £65
Quartz Citizen I picked up off the bay for £40 I think.
I keep it as it's almost the same as a watch in terms of design as one I was given to me by my grandmother, but subsequently stolen from me at school (a long time ago now)

5610 for me too.
Not worn it for a while will have to dig it out.
If this was a survey I hazard a guess Casio would win.
£12 from eBay. RAF issue 6BB, one of 1600 made in 1984.
F.T.F.A.
A £60 Vostok, but with a Seiko bezel insert that was another third of the cost of the Russian beast
Casio F91-W that has been my go to watch for gigging on weekends although that duty has been taken up by a rather smart looking Withings smart watch that I got for a 'one year together' present from my gf recently.
A Stowa A dial, but I kinda steal an old Citzen eco-drive off the old man for when I need a beater!
This one: I bought it new in December 1966 for about $30 and wore it in the jungles and monsoons of Vietnam...still keeps good time!
Well, it was my GBP3.50 fake Rolex that I 'curated' in Singapore back in the day. Unfortunately, it started to rust 2 days after purchase before shuffling off this mortal coil within 2 weeks. Nowadays, it's my F91-W.
It's the one on the right, £6.98 from Amazon. The one on the left is identical but was purchased a few weeks earlier, when the price was £7.15.
Steinhart ocean one. love it. total beater that just laps it up, its a beast.
I've got a Timex somewhere with a lovely rubber orange strap, think it cost a tenner. Worth it just for the strap!
Casio Royale is not only my cheapest but probably also my most worn !
At price or value? Interestingly I purchased a TAG 2000 Exclusive on SC for about £200. It's still worth £200 all day long and I could probably sell it in SC for that. I purchased a 9400 Rangeman Brand new when they were first released from Goldsmiths for £280. I also really love it but on SC I reckon it would fetch £160 on a good day.
Such is watch life!
Alpha GMT... paid 50 Euros for this.
It's a lot of watch for the money.
I have no idea what the RRP was when new but this watch is the one I paid the least for. I still wear it occasionally despite the misaligned hour hand. It is so different from all my other watches in many ways: 24 hour watch (hour hand completes one rotation every 24 hours as opposed to 12), dial colour, country of origin, very different (and loud!) ticking sound.

Used for holidays and the gym. Tried the smaller G-Shock 5610 and a lovely Seiko 5 day date but both were just too small on my fat wrist so I went to the other extreme. Quite hard to get inside a motorcycle glove though.

worked out free as 1sy one was faulty, they sent another and did not want 1 st one back( usa) fixed 1 st one for free, sold it to cover purchase cost, I keep it because its quirky .
This one.
It would easily embarrass a Seiko at three times the price. An utter bargain.
Ten or twelve years ago this watch (with no strap included) cost me $75, it is from 1989.
I'll buy any old rubbish with an interesting movement so there's plenty of competition on the bottom of the pile. However, in the spirit of this thread and to troll Rajen there's this:
Which I picked up the other week on ebay for a shade under fifty quid. There wasn't even a waiting list.
G shock. Was a heads up on here, I think about £100 from £300, liked the looks thought I'd give it a try. Probably my second most worn watch in the last month or two since purchase...and it's competing with some precious metal!

The one watch that I will never let go was the one that was literally worn every day of the week by my late father. He bought it whilst on Naval service in South Africa in 1942 and wore it until his death in 1972. It was a small Mondia and I never once saw him without it being on his wrist. It seemed to be glued to him. He was a Toolmaker and wore it whilst working on machinery and he spent most Sunday mornings tinkering on his car. The watch is scratched up to high heaven and looks like it has been shot blasted. The stainless steel bracelet is cracked and on its last legs.
I wound it up a couple of years ago just to see if it still worked. It gained 3 seconds over the week.
I doubt if it would fetch a tenner but it is staying with me.
