Yes but what would you put in this?

There are some great ideas, although many would need a good amount of business acumen, cost and time invested.

If you don't want too much traffic car and caravan storage would be the best solution. The cars are likely to be show cars or investments that a rarely driven, and caravan owners will likely turn up a 2-3 times per year. Easy money for providing dry and secure space. It's not going to be the most lucrative business but it'll cover maintenance of the property and a bit of additional income.

Whatever you decide, it’s a outstanding opportunity and if it were me I would be quite excited about it.

Of course if you are ambivalent about it, and it has cost you nothing on top of the original property price, can I have it?
    Please?

You might struggle to fit that inside a 10,000 sqft barn.....

That is a nice sized barn! We have an old cow barn on the side of our house which is 6,000 sqft which I thought was a pretty generous space. It is surprising how quickly we have started to fill it up though with cars, hay, stables, machinery etc.
If it was 'mine' it would belong to my wife, so my wife would build an indoor horse arena and use the 10 acres for more horses.

As a rough example, the company I work for often looks for warehouse space for either bulk stacked or racked storage for 1 tonne bags of product.

My boss is generally happy if he can get away paying £1.50 per tonne per week loaded in and out.

That usually never happens so it's normally closer to £3 per tonne per week and that's a good deal.

What barn? It's already a warehouse.

Caravan storage can be quite involved if you want to do it properly. https://www.cassoa.co.uk

If a 90,000sqft barn fits inside a 10,000sqft space, it is neither a barn nor a warehouse, it is a Tardis.

Is it possible to see if someone has ? My neighbour has put this in his garden. Last summer was pain with him flying in and out almost daily .

    This summer not so much

  14. #64
Have you spoken to him about it? That would probably be the best, first, course of action. It can be surprising how nice people are.

  15. #65
Not yet, to be honest the odd flying in and out doesn’t bother me but last summers daily in and out was irritating. He has to fly along the back of our gardens to get to it.

All this talk of No Deal, stock piling and apparent lack of warehouse space why don't you rent it out to baked bean, toilet roll and pot noodle manufacturers?

When one o-need near us I did the maths on this, factor in the empty hours during the day and hot summer days I couldn’t work it out.

Is it flooded with natural light - Turn the space into a free art space for creative types to explore and expose their inner selves. Let them live in the grounds rent free like a shanty town of vans, yurts, converted shipping containers... Solar panels and a wind generator for power, community kitchen and shower/toilet block. Host art parties and exhibitions. Put it on the map as the UKs finest creative hothouse.

I have a fool proof money making idea too, but that's for kith and kin

Lots of good and funny suggestions on this thread. The big stumbling block for some of the more serious ones though (trampoline park) is that the OP has stated it’s off the beaten track. That could put a lot of people off visiting, especially if it’s down any narrow lanes.

if it where's you live , i would personally want something with as little traffic as possible.

Caravan and car storage is what I would do.
