References please - For me and Take Time Project

    Evening all,

I'm giving the Take Time Project a boost at the minute, (mental work and a few other commitments have taken my focus away from the project) and I've asked a large Seiko Facebook group if I can post details on their page. The main guy has (quite rightly) asked for some more details to make sure it's a proper thing.

I'm going to be email him later with some details and would like to include a link to this thread to show I'm an 'established' watch fan (I am a fairly new member there).

I'd be grateful if anyone could post on here to say that a) the project is long running and b) I'm not a complete weirdo.

It's Seiko Passion if anyone's interested.

    Cheers
    Dave

Dave happy to vouch for you.
It’s a long running project, I took the watch to Africa and you are not a weirdo
    Will that do?

On a serious note it is a fantastic project and it has been great seeing the watch go to places and be on the wrist of people doing some extraordinary things. It really brought home the importance of experiences and spending time with loved ones.

Thank you for organising the project.

References please - For me and Take Time Project

It has been a pleasure for the forum to host such a great project for such a noble and important cause.
“The life never lived” is what sums it up in my mind....
This is probably the only Turtle in the world to have witnessed so many different conditions and experiences.
I really do hope that it gets to do even more...

In a personal note, I consider Dave a close personal friend. No words can properly describe his kindness and his integrity

It's a long running project, I had the honour to take the watch from Germany, to Romania, and then to Italy.

You are not more a weirdo than the other inmates :D

Support and a 'vouch' from me. You're are a watch nerd/WiS, of course you're a weirdo - long live weirdos I say.

I even got to wear the watch for a short time in Germany.
It's just a matter of time...

Dave, you’re a bloody weirdo, but in the nicest sense of the word.

Really, Dave is among TZ-UK’s finest, and that’s saying a lot. A true gent.

I had the watch earlier in the year and I can vouch that Dave is as weird as the rest of us. I have hopes to bring the watch on my travels again so I trust this new lot realise where they are on the food chain .
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

I can vouch for the veracity of the project and Dave's honesty. I have had the pleasure of taking the watch on a couple of adventures and involved with it's trip to Madagascar.

Dave - would sending them a link to the twitter account help? I know that it is only a month or two old.

Although I did not take part in the Take Time project, but can vouch for Dave as a proper gent.
A watch I sold Dave arrived with a very difficult fault to rectify, and Dave was very understanding and patient with my (eventually successful) efforts to rectify the fault.

I'll certainly vouch for you Mr O. A truly genuine and kind-hearted chap. It comes as no surprise that this fantastic, long-standing project was conceived by Dave :)

I have to go against the grain and say that you are something of a weirdo.
No fights, no participation in bear pit, no swinging of hand bags, generally helpful and respectful and able to appreciate lighter side of things and doing nice things like the Take Time project. Definitely something weird about you:-)

P.S - we could do with some more like you.

An amazing project where a lot of thought and heart has been put in, which suns Dave up tbh.

Thoughtful caring guy that’s always looking to give back. He has put a lot of effort into making this project special and meaningful.

I thought Dave doesn’t enjoy the sun.

It’s the sun that enjoys Dave.
