It was pretty much NOS, had a long service dedication on the case back from the east midlands gas board in Leicester, have seen a couple of other so inscribed. I shouldn't have sold it I suppose but I just didn't particularly like it on my wrist and wearability is what it's about. If I still had it I could have put it in the cheap watch thread as I only paid £35 for it in late 2017!

I had forgotten the Buler had a red second hand until I put it on this evening.

Thank you. The watch has really grown on me. I reluctantly purchased it as it was about the only sub 40mm solar field style watch I could find despite a lot of searching. I still think it is a bit shiny but I love the blue lume and I feel putting it on a Nato has perked it up a bit.

Of course that red second hand also gives it a bit of character.

Although the Sinn found a good new home since this photo was taken and the TransOcean is getting serviced right now. (Can’t wait to get it back.)

This is the thread that keeps on giving! Such a wide range of watches with this one thing in common, I'm amazed that there hasn't been a thread on it before.

    Thanks all, keep 'em coming!

I can see where the inspiration for my Buler Timestar came from, lots of similarities there. Unsurprisingly the Tissot is much nicer. A lovely watch.

Thank you. I rescued it from gathering dust in an antique shop cabinet
No idea how to set the day date though as its not quickset and rolling through forwards appears to change the day and date at the same time so god knows how its going to settle itself with short months!

Another shot of the modded SKX007.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

This pretty little Oris that I wear quite often, and an old Tallis boutique diver that rather needs a service.

I'm not surprised - I was tempted, too, and I really don't need another watch! A modern classic, for sure.

Just picked this up this afternoon -
