I have bought a new bracelet from Rolex, £1000.
No exchange price was offered, I did ask.
Their default is to keep the old one but when asked they did return the old one.
Initially they were going to retain the spare links but after a bit of discussion those were also supplied.

b) No, it wouldn't be "franken" which is when a watch is cobbled together using non genuine donor parts.
Everything I have quoted has been from an established AD and if that is not talking sense in your great and expert opinion, then so be it.

I work in the trade.
If that is the case then in my experience 90% of vintage watches in circulation can be referred to as Franken, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Nothing to report. I've suggested to my friend that he goes back in and asks for the old bracelet. I'll update the thread if he does this.
