Problems with actual sales on SC are still relatively uncommon. There are obviously some sales threads that descend into all sorts, but generally this is before money has changed hands

Taken me ages, must admit I don’t post a lot, I think next 12 months I will post more.

It’s taken a little while and nearly there. I find if You do a bit of DIY You can answer a few questions for members and it will bolster Your count at the same time although I’m in no hurry to hit 250

So 250 posts in 8 years so time to make 10,000 posts ....

Hmmm - guess I won't be listening to the full orchestra then.

I think some people should have a requirement of 250 posts before they are allowed to post anything.

Another slow burner here. I’ll chime in if I think I can help and the usual thread hijackers haven’t ruined it.

There are plenty of posts I read and watch out of morbid fascination, with no desire to join in. A bit like my view on dogging.

I do a lot of DIY on an industrial scale! Just finished my third major house renovation and can turn my hands to most trades except bricklaying, roofing or plastering. I posted on a shower thread but haven't seen many DIY questions, where do they live?

    Since you asked

According to my kids the power shower at home is playing up, turns on etc. but the water is always cold but does randomly go hot and then stays hot. The first person to use the shower gets hot water, after that always cold.

To me it sounds like a classic case of the motor brushes on the hot water pump down to their last piece of carbon. The pump unit is separate and has 2 pumps for the hot and cold feeds. Shower unit is a Triton Satellite something or the other with a wireless controller.

Does this sound like a brush problem to you, not too sure the brushes can actually be changed but I’m away at the mo and won’t be able to take a look for another 2 weeks.

That is just a pipe dream though. There are so many free-loaders on here that use the place as a fee-free bazaar for flogging old tat (which in the good old days used to go the charity shop) or make a quick buck. All within the rules though, assuming they contribute to the fundraiser when required. P.S. Good to see you back posting, hope all's well.

I can't understand all of these slow posters.

If I join a new forum I want to get stuck in straight away and post up my thoughts, what I've got/want, discussion etc etc.

I'm not one for sitting back lurking.

In fact if we all did that there wouldn't be much of a forum!
    Cheers,
    Neil.

At my rate it’ll be another 2 years, not to worry, saving all my sale items up ready to flood the market.

Different strokes for different folks…. Many knowledgeable lurkers on here…. Some people don’t feel the need to comment on every single thread they read

Although (in order to create a thread) it’s better that more people get involved…!!!

There is a lot of tat on SC. I don’t sell anything worth less than £20 these days, it’s not worth the hassle or my time.

Perhaps SC could be limited to watch sales only and have a Paypal button with a £5 listing fee? Another sales bit for the tat people feel they need to proffer here instead of Gumtree.

Took me about 10 months but then I wasn't hell bent on replying to every thread just to raise my score. A little bit perhaps but not obsessively.

I had to come back here for my 250th post ;-)

Four years and three months to answer my own question. Got a large handful of JDM Seikos sourced in Tokyo on a business trip and I just bought a lightbox from Ebay, so will spend the next week getting some listed. And top up Eddies coffers of course.

Gives me something to do whilst off work having chemo!

You haven't really made 250 until you've had a mention here:

    https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...potting/page59

And you have! Congratulations on the full-fledging at last (and good luck with the chemo).

I agree with op, find it really hard not to spam lots. But suppose a photo every week of the watch will help me too, as I have a couple forum bought watches that I’m wanting to move on, but waiting until I can sell them here.
