Beautiful pics and a fantastic watch. I really do regret selling my PAM 050

Also they do a MM dial Luminor similar to the 372 - 6xx Again unsure of the reference.

All the above will be 47mm in size.

Guess 44mm you’d be looking at an older base model 000.

Not your average 'Safe Queen' (Panerai content)

605 is the Firenze edition 372 lookalike with grey dial...it has Luminor Panerai and Firenze written on the dial

There’s an even rarer 665 with dark brown dial...

    Edit to add pic

    217-375-665-673-508-382 pictured

    Yup,the third one isn’t 372,but it’s the 665

Never new that! Would’ve sworn a 372. Alas wish I had the wrist for 47mm! Switch on the 560 tonight when home. Feels good

Again guys, can't thank you enough for your positive comments. I'm not a photographer, actually miles from it, i'm using the camera strictly as a thing to keep me busy and for blowing off some steam. So really glad that you like them.

Especially on a watch people tend to swap straps often.
Well as RAJEN have pointed out, it's a part of Panerai DNA.
And basically in many cases this means it's pure bullshit (let's be real). But, there is always that 'BUT'.... if we compare the pure thickness of screwed in bar and springbar (not the middle part but the end pin witch goes in the case) it's really Heaven and Earth. By that I mean I've never wobbled my hand with a watch before going in the water (as I do with my all other watches to check if the springbars are in place). I never did that because I know that I will probably break my wrist before one of the screw in bars or thick leather straps breaks. As a diver, I feel secure with it. I don't need to worry for that things.
BTW, there are some interviews online about Mike Horn (one of the most bad ass explorers out there) who jammed his Sumbersible in a cliff when he almost fell to his death. Strap and that steel bar in watch case has saved his head.
The watch still lies there btw, It's so jammed in the rock that he couldn't pry it out. Will I need this? No! But do i like it? Yup

The same thing goes for crown lock system. On every other watch i need to check the crown if it's screwed down. On this? No way. Just a one second look. Love that.

Well thanks to Nono and those fantastic photos I'm browsing ads for Panerais (like many others by the sounds of it) which were never on my radar till now.

    Beautiful shots.

Not normally a fan of Panerai, but these shots are just stunning to me, and will make me take a bit more interest in the future.

    Thanks for sharing!

You sure are giving Tony a run for his money with these photos, and in case you're not familiar with his body of work, he's the sheriff round these parts when it comes to watch photography

First day of autumn is just around the corner so off with the rubber, and on with something warmer: Italian heritage, Swiss Made watch with handmade in Germany canvas strap with British flag

    - Now that's a mouthful.

I presume that you are reffering to the strap? Type Diaboliq straps on Instagram/Facebook

    Wow!

So pleased you’ve resurrected this thread, as I missed it the first time around. Absolutely stunning photos that make me want a Panerai. Something that has never happened before! In fact I know next to nothing about them. Good job I’ve got next to nothing to do today then. Research time

Glad Iv'e sparked some PAM Fire :)
But to me, It's a good thing Panerai is so less popular these days. You can get some really great models for good prices used and they are just outstangind to play around with straps and different combos.

Oh, and I think scratches will look good on them

    Tnx mate!
No filters, but I am shooting in RAW and post edit in Lightroom. But nothing extreme, few tweeks to get the white balance right, maybe a highlight a thing or two or get rid of some nasty reflections.
Setup? I'm using Canon 750D + Canon 60mm Macro f:/2.8 most of the time, static halogen light bulb with softbox and maybe a reflector in some cases if I want to highlight a strap or pusher etc. But the pictures from first post were all outdoor, no equipment, just manual mode and shot.

Others of that era were the GPF 2/56 (Cal 618) and the Mare Nostrum which featured a Minvera Movement.

The closest to the originals are any of the reissues that use these movements. The PAM 21 and PAM 203 are the most obvious.

Fantastic photos. I haven’t worn either of mine for a while and was actually considering selling my “long arrow” 005, but this has prompted me to wear it again. My preA 001 is a keeper though.

Thanks for the foto's! Happy that I haven't sold my 112 yet. As I read in this thread I also never took my 300m Panerai to the water. It is a strange thing, that I don't see it as the dive-watch it is.

Just discovered this thread. Amazing photos.

I’ve also begun to research Panerai after trying on a 44mm Luminor. I’d always assumed they were huge and cumbersome but found it fitted wonderfully.

At the moment in a confused state over the sheer number of models...

You buy your first panerai after a-lot of deliberation
choosing between manual or auto dial colour and steel or titanium
Then your first pam arrives and pretty soon your searching for another and then there is the strap searching which is another level enjoy

Aftermath: PAM is good but too many Cookies and the strap has somehow become a little tight. But hey, YOLO!
