    Bleeding Digital screen

Whilst digging about for some tools, I found my Timex Melody Alarm. I remembered why I put it away last time :-(

Put a new battery in it and you can see the lcd bleeding at the top left of the screen

A lot of the display is missing. A cheap throwaway watch but I’ve had it a long time.

Is it fixable or should I look for a donor?

Really depends, some of these work by just having a compression between the screen and contact board. This can be cleaned and that sometimes works.

If it is a soldered link then it may need reflowing, something that could work or just kill the screen.
