    Coasteering

    Hi all.
Would like to take my 14 yr old son to the coast
These holidays for a day of coasteering. Never done it before
Any advice on decent safe places/company’s to go with ?
Wales or south coast I imagine
    Cheers Andy

Looks like great fun but wear gloves and decent footwear, very high chance of grazes from rocks.

I know several people who've done it with this company and they were full of praise for the organisation, professionalism of the people and the experience they had:

(If you do choose them I might even join you and provide a post-session RIB-ride around the coast for you both).

It's nice to know my RNLI donations are being put to good use.

Tried to book somewhere around Swansea for a stag party but couldn’t find anyone, ended up canyoning north of port Talbot. Great fun. If you find somewhere let us know I could be tempted with a weekend away.

I can highly recommend Gaia Adventures. I've worked with Will, one of the owners of the company, many times, and he's absolutely brilliant: super nice, patient, and, more importantly, very safety conscious.

They're more climbing-oriented, but this page on their website does suggest that coasteering is also available:

A good friend of mine runs coasteering and is a brilliant instructor. Safe and adventurous in just the right amount to have a great time and come back in one piece.
All along the South Coast and he’s probably happy to travel elsewhere too.
