A few years back I bought the original watercolours commissioned for the 1998, 1999 and 2000 Sebring 12 Hour race posters. They're finally framed and ready to go on the (office) wall. That really was a great era of sports car racing, the 1999 one in particular shows a Ferrari 333SP, Porsche 911 GT1 and GT2, Corvette, Viper, Audi R8 and Mercedes CLR. They didn't cost a lot (IIRC they came direct from the artist) but are some of the last big race posters that were painted rather than produced with photographs or computer illustrations. I'm absolutely certain my wife is going to hate them...

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
The only slight issue is my office wall isn't massive, and I have a LOT of framed racing posters. Currently also waiting to go up are a '66 Porsche Targa Florio poster (1.2 metres high!), Porsche Targa Florio 1970, 'McQueen Drives Porsche', Mercedes wins the Carrera Panamericana, an amazing Bluebird poster from the 1960s and about 30 Mercedes race posters from the 1930s and 1950s. All originals, all issued when cars won races. And then there are loads more in a stair well down to the garage. And the Le Mans and other posters I managed to get on the walls in the house, and the signed Klemantaski print by the front door, and...

Great pictures and all the more special for being the original artwork.
With all those other prints on the walls, there's a good chance your wife won't even notice - I think you will be OK :-)

They took a long time to find, all of them. I've not seen another Bluebird land speed record one for sale anywhere. That one's from Donald Campbell's record attempt at Lake Eyre (see an excellent article here: https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/featur...february-2014/).

They've been consistently good, proportions always correct (something I'd not found with other framers). All under conservation glass.

Now for a load of my Mercedes A4 posters for the opposing wall, I reckon I can get 13-15 up there. These were issued by Mercedes to dealers for their windows whenever they won a race. The late 1930s German race posters all contained swastikas. I'd love the Dick Seaman one from the 1938 GP but it has a sod off great big flag on it. I collected all of these 10-15 years ago, they hardly turn up anymore. I have a load more of the 1954/5 ones too, and another pre-war one, maybe when I have a bigger office...

I have no such focus: My framed stuff is more an eclectic representation of phases in life.
Most boxed as the old farm has complicated wall spaces.
No issue with a spouse; for one am not married, secondly the resident female is not perfect either, so I have a classic bicycle on the wall in the living room :-)
Thanks very much. Having looked into in the past, I know it takes effort to find a trusted framer who can get it 'just right' and at a reasonable cost.

Your older posters there are the official Porsche reprints, which means they're considerably easier to frame and stick on the wall, the originals were either 100 or 120cm tall!
