Well I've just received this today, love it but must admit I know nothing about Tunas.
Where can I find out more about them and what is the league table of Tunas?

One of the new solar tunas and part of the huge range of shrouded divers that Seiko has recently released. Arguably not a real Tuna, more a Tuna style. The original Tunas are quartz and rated as saturation divers so are over 300m, the larger ones being 1000m rated.
These new solar Tunas are only rated to 200m so not saturation divers. They are nice watches but not a true Tuna in the seiko world, more Tuna style. Still nice though and more affordable than a real Tuna.
It's like not every watch with a rotating bezel is a sub, but many are submariner style. And so for this watch and many other seikos, just adding a shroud does not make it a real Tuna.

I've become a bit of a Tuna fan myself over the last few years , I love the fact they are like no
Other watch out there . I'd love the Spring Drive model one on the SC at the min
Here are my two a 1987 SBBN007 and and my 2014 SBBN013 Darth Tuna
They’re great watches and the unique design just grows on you. I was sceptical until I tried the smaller Solars . Made me want the larger versions and although they sound really big on paper they wear so comfortably.
Also have an SBBN031 inbound.

I always wondered what the fuss was about.
Then I bought one
I now love them and I am thinking about adding a spring drive emperor tuna.
They are comfortable and not as big as you would think.
I have these 2 plus a Sharkmaster homage which was bought to try the size before I took the plunge it is not a bad quality watch to be honest.
I need to get this one serviced though, any suggestions?

This is an old pic but not much has changed... Swapped a 7549-7010 for a sbbn037 Padi Tuna and currently have a 7549-7010 with Professional 300m dial incoming... It's a desease...
Have had quite a few but trimmed down the shoal to these seven now:
Tuna means business !
In it's natural habitat (on my balcony.press)
And it's glow even when it's wet !
Some really nice collections here, I find that the style is very marmite. I have to say I like them, but am also quite aware that it seems to be a bit of a rabbit hole for those collecting them.
