    The Open

    Anyone watching?

I'm backing Koepka and Molinari - glad I avoided Rory!

I fancied Lowry or G Mac before they started, but G Mac has just fell to bits. Rory's snowman has made it very hard for himself. Matt Wallace maybe worth a punt?

I consider myself a resonable golfer, but that course genuinely scares me. The width of the fairways, the rough, the weather, its length, all difficult but the green and protecting bunkers are just terrifying.

No idea who will win. I fancied Molinari or Rose simply because of their iron play, but lots will depend upon the golfing gods and who they think deserves it more.

Whoever wins will indeed be a worthy champion.

I liked the way Tyrrell Hatton played today.....I reckon he's got a good chance of a top ten finish if he carries on like that. You can still get 33/1 on him.

No, what a shame. I'd love to go to an Open one day?

Friend does security at it. No interest in golf whatsoever, so keeps putting it in our whatsapp group. Of course the weekend ones were snapped up instantly.

I have no interest in golf, but I've walked around the course. It's simply stunning.

Royal St George’s next year I believe, not too far from you and my favourite links course. Fingers crossed I’ll be there

Course is fantastic, it’s turning out to be a great Open. Even better as there’s quite a few who could win it so very good to watch.

Totally agreed. It would be on a par (pun) with Wood's win at Augusta. If not the hopefully Lowey or Fleetwood.

That was a hell of a round from Lowry, never seen better golf. Hopefully Tommy can get a bit closer today and make a contest of it.

Having a 4 shot lead is decent but can easily be caught, lowrey probably needs -4 today,I’ve not seen the weather forecast but it could contribute if it rains and the wind gets up,for half a day .

A bit of wind and rain and those Americans soon fall away.

Well done Shane, a great performance.

Great result for Lowry, he just needs a watch sponsorship deal now!
