GREAT tip for anyone with sweaty metal watch bracelets

So, an actual “tip” from a woman’s mag. Hope Mrs Gyp doesn’t read it...😬

The bezel paint in the markers on my cheap Casio holiday watch was a bit grey and indistinct. But I saw some bright yellow nail polish on the clearance shelf at Tesco for about 50p and had a sudden idea.

Applied it judiciously to the marker indentations and went over it with a cotton cloth dampened with acetone to tidy it up - worked a treat!

Nail polish clearly is a valuable tool in the watch enthusiast's armoury. I must admit though, I've never actually noticed that undesirable sweaty steel smell that Ms Weir refers to.

I did that to a clasp (or might have been a case back) once when I developed a slight skin rash.

I constantly try making myself to love steel...and I hate it, leather/nato/rubber is my choice

Probably because that POS watch isn't actually steel but some nasty alloy with any old metal in it's mix.
