She needs to MOVE...
My wife is in Italy for a while. She is staying near Rome and took this phone picture of an insect lurking outside her apartment. She did not say how big it was but from the photo I would think maybe 3 to 4 cm? Perhaps larger. Can anyone tell me what it is? It's definately not a Slow Worm!

Looks like a preying mantis to me but I'm no expert....
Ha Ha! Very good.
As an aside, she has informed me that she has bought me a solar powered rocking Pope to put on a window sill. How thoughtful! Her taste for artifacts is as bad as her taste in husbands!
It surprises me though. I would not have thought that such a religious country would have a sense of humour about such things. I still hate it though! Not for religious reasons you must understand. It's just too tacky.

Its moulting, and its a leaf sucker.
Probably goes darker once it dries out after moulting.
Well I for one welcome our new insect overlords.
no idea, but its not a mantid .
Good pictures but it doesn't look anything like the above.
If a woman sees it, it’s history 😂
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Whatever it is, it is definitely moulting.

I googled lobster but no, that's not it
