    Vintage Citizen Adorex 8000

My latest arrival, made from 1974 to 1977.
It has a neat feature, you can adjust the timing by the crown on the third pull.
Probably not very practical but nonetheless interesting.
Anyone knows of this feature in any other manufacturer?

    Very interesting.

Im guessing that between position C & D on sets the time without hacking and one enables timeset with hacking.

Also, the assumption is that it cannot be hand wound!

I am starting to have a bit of a "thing" for 1970s Japanese watches and that pushes those buttons. Especially as it has an interesting movement too. Congratulations.

    Thank you fellows.
In position C it hacks and you set the time and in position D it does not affect the movement you just adjust the timing.
    Yes you can handwind it.

Very interesting! I have seen quite a few 70ties Citizen's, but this is new to me. Nice watch!

I beleive this feature only applies to the Adorex with the 8000a/8001a movement. It didn't last long probably due to the quartz revolution or maybe it wasn't practical.
All the other models had your conventional movement.
The 8000 movement was also the first citizen to wind automatically with the rotor in one direction.
