Not really a mod, more a resurrection.
I saw this Glycine on eBay.
Although nothing special, and having a dead movement and a dial that has suffered some water damage in the past, it was someone's 25 year work anniversary present and for under a tenner would at least give me some more practice in replacing quartz movements.
Hands and dial removed, a new Ronda 705 was dropped into place and - together with a new crystal - the watch reassembled.
It is now ticking away merrily and has come up rather nicely in the end:
