At friends weddings we always stay two nights. Up for more pints at 11am and all will be well.

If you get a hangover after the age of 30 then you are a brain dead cretin.

You deserve to suffer in order to persuade you to grow up.

As mentioned above, High5 that night and next day.

A ‘day after’ swim and/or run definitely works wonders for me!

Probably only one of the criteria.

Get off the sauce, you’ll never look back. As an intermediate cure lots of liquid before you go to bed and freshly made porridge with honey and fresh fruits, some pastry and strong coffee in the morning.. failing that, hair of the dog

    Sleep. Then more sleep.

  18. #18
A load of coconut water before bed along with paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Follow up with the same thing the next morning.

If I’m on wine or spirits I try to drink as much water in between.

Having said that I often forget and get a stinker the next day !!

I’ve been pretty much off the booze for the past 3 months. I’ve come to the conclusion I can do abstinence but not moderation!

Hate to admit it, but two cans of Sugar free Red Bull does it for me everytime!

I know it's full of nasty stuff, but works for me (oh and Nurofen plus, the 'Breakfast of Champions' of course!)

Pint of water and 1000mg of paracetamol before bed if I'm not too pissed to remember followed by the same when I wake up. A good shower and teeth descaling followed by a bacon and fried egg banjo and a cup of tea

    Irn Bru
    Bloody Mary
Full Scottish with a Tattie Scone and black pudding.

I’m in Paris surrounded by Octogenarians getting hammered so not sure of the no hangovers after 30 comments.

As much water as you can force down your neck and the strongest painkillers you have access to before bed and then a good fry up in the morning.

People suffer from hangovers for many reasons but mental health is very often a major factor.

You should keep your narrow minded prejudices and archaic insults in the Bear Pit.

Can of Coke and a sausage / egg sarny with brown sauce.

Unfortunately the best cure is to drag your ass out the house and walk around in the fresh air for a few hours. My advice...get a dog.

Lie down on a hard floor and moan loudly.... ;-)

btdt but not so much any more. tbh it was the hang overs in the morning that put me off booze. The odd double whiskey sat in front of the telly or listening to music and that's it for me now. When you get to a certain age you start to think the suffering the day after out weight the highs of the evening before.

A run and a swim, then plenty of water. Will hurt to begin but sweating out the crap, livening up the system with exercise, releasing hopefully some endorphins, the feeling of virtue from doing something healthier,
    works for me.

    Utter rubbish

I would guess that over 90% of hangovers are caused by over indulgence by people who should know better. How can anyone willingly booze themselves up in the full knowledge that they are going to feel flipping awful the next day and also their family and friends will be viewing them in the worse possible light.

Stupidity is a mild word to describe it.

Fry up or pies. Need something savoury with HP

Exercise is clearly the fastest way to sort yourself out - however the thought of walking to the kitchen can be hard enough!

Fortunately I don't drink much nowadays to warrant a hangover.

Amazed how I used to do several day benders in my teens / early 20s with barely a trace of a headache. It can take me 2-3 days to recover from a all day session nowadays so I dont do it!!

As a recovering alcoholic with quite a bit of past experience of hangovers from hell, I'd say the very best cure is a Moscow Mule.

    2 or 3 measures Vodka
    Dash Angostura bitters
    Measure of lime
    Ginger ale of beer.

I've had colleagues almost cry with happiness at the result when they've had hangovers and apparently once walked into my old local looking like I was near death only to be put in the recovery position later having restored myself and then pushed past on these!

My last hangover was the day after Oliver Reed died, sometime in 1998. I can't say I miss them.

A decent number 2 is absolutely crucial

Get a cup of coffee and head to the facilities until it’s done.

Then a shower and I’m usually 90% human.

My uncle was a boozer and he swore by Underberg. You could get it in a lot of off licences years ago and whilst it wasn't advertised as a hang over cure the 40% alcohol content gave it the hair of the dog effect. Tasted horrid from what i remember.

Following any session involving the local rugby club: Pint of water before bed followed next morning by a strong coffee(s), full english, a throne session then shower. If that doesn't work, another pint of water and bed!!

If I remember then a pint of water and some paracetamol before I crash out then as much sleep as I can manage.
If I dont manage to get sufficient sleep then a good greasy fry up and lots of tea.

I also find it helps to stay away from self righteous, pompous arses.

(Many years ago I was taken into hospital with suspected meningitis....they turfed me out eventually with a huge bag of super duper painkillers. They lasted me for about 5 years and were the best hangover cure ever. Popped one in the morning and 5 minutes later I was ready for anything!)

BIG bottle of irn bru, massive fry up(anything/everything that’ll fry) using chilli oil, and brisk exercise.

I have found that red wine hangovers tend now to wait till early evening before appearing, about the time I’m back in the pub.

I’m well over 30 and I don’t give a toss what anybody thinks, at my age it’s far too late to grow up, and the company I keep are usually in the same condition.
