    Interesting day

Does anyone know what the closing music was to this evenings ITV4 coverage of the tour?

Firstly, I agree that today's decision was the only one possible.

The TdF website is suggesting that tomorrow's stage has been drastically altered already by the ASO.

Originally, the stage was to be 135Km taking in 3 categorized climbs with total climbing of around 4500m and a couple of technical descents (off the Cormet de Reseland and Notre Dame du Pre).

The reports here are now saying the stage will start at 2.30pm (local) and ride directly 25Km along the N90 to Moutiers and then make the 35km climb to Val Thorens. So basically a 35km, 2500m sprint to VT!

Flanders TV 'Vive le Vélo' is euphoric about the 59km race tomorrow. "A fair chance for Alaphillipe!" Vs. "Hopefully, Bernal is going to display his power." And: "This Tour will be discussed for years to come!"

The TdF is sort of fizzling out just when it was getting really exciting :-(

    Bloomin' weather!

Well, you can also look at it as a last Stage with extreme fireworks.

A lót of teams have no stage win and will squeeze out the last bit trying to get one.
It will be a crazy sprint mixed up with the far from decided GC battle.

Today’s stage is looking at risk - horrendous weather conditions, particularly at the finish.

Such a shame to have a 59km time trial at this stage, spoiled it really the tactics

A few of the Gendarmes have suggested the stage will finish in Les Menuires. The weather has cleared a bit just now though more thunderstorms forecast this afternoon.
We’ve just heard that the Caravan has been cancelled - Mrs Weedram is distraught and stormed off back to the apartment for wine!!

Congratulations Egan Bernal; awesome for one so young. A real shame that Julian Alaphilippe couldn't maintain a podium finish but he's won a lot of fans.

Bernal is a very deserving winner. Congrats to him. Nice to see GT end the tour in second too.

    Best Tour for years.
Congratulations to Bernal. I very much doubt this will be his last.

Bit of a luxury problem for Ineos now. Their future star has already started shining making the other two sort of redunant problems akin Movistar has them doing it a power of no good.
It will give cycling a huge push in Columbia where it already is massively popular.
Looking forward to the last stage of this evening.
    My ´bet´ is on Sagan.

The way the setting sun shone down les Champs Elysees through l'Arc de Triomphe was a fitting curtain to this year's Tour. Great advert for France. Vive le Tour!

I was lucky enough to be there - it was amazing to see the tour arrive in Paris with such a fantastic atmosphere. I'd thoroughly recommend going if you ever get the chance - it's something very special.
