First world problems - no watches I want

So I’ve come to a bit of an impasse (temporary, I am sure!) in that I have a collection that covers all the needs I can think of, there are no (affordable) alternatives that either compare for quality, or aesthetics, or interest - or all of the above....
I find I am almost looking for a watch I “need” with no idea what it might be....

What an odd habit this is!

    Anyway, I have at present:

    Grand Seiko Ti Diver SBGA231
    Tudor Black Bay Chrono
Vintage Seiko 5 (1969, cushion case)
    Stealth-modded Seiko Turtle
    PRS 29b
And a Seiko Landmaster GMT thing inbound.

    I can’t find a better looking Chrono

No other divers are comparing well

My 5 was handed from my dad, from new and dresses up nicely

The modded Turtle is an awesome
    personalised beater

The Landmaster covers my travel and geeky outdoor needs

    Handwind, local goodness - sorted

Can’t see a gap, or any improvement on the existing!

I like a couple of Zeniths but anything else I like and try just struggles to compete with my current crop.

Any gaping holes you see in this lot, and something I “need”?
    Maybe a posher dress watch?

All very sensible, but what about a bonkers watch, a Smiths Radio Room or something with an Orange or Yellow dial - ideal for long hot summer days 👍

Buy something that's a bit of fun 😉

Dress watch? Another GS or a vintage Longines/Omega...

Yep - planning on the Seiko Arnie re-release.
Had more than a brace of Breitling Aerospaces in my time and love them, but always end up flipping for some reason or other.

You have five watches and nothing out there takes your fancy. Enjoy what you have and spend your money on something else.

Can’t be the only one wishing this thread had more photos in it!

I’ve spent the last 6m a watch down and no aim, and just picked up something I love but wasn’t expecting - it’s the perfect state to be in!

Sounds like you have all the technical bases covered, so it’ll just come down to something that really grabs you. Looking forward to it!

Nice space to be in when you feel contented with your collection.
If you buy any more watches, hope you do it because you love it.
There are no bases to be covered or holes to be filled as there are no rules to this hobby.

    My bad....

The old 5 on the left, and the Turtle is how my modded one started out in life!

Can’t find a 29b photo in my phone.

Hmm... a good condition, early 70s, Seiko Bell-Matic?

That would seem to fill a niche you've not yet addressed.

P.S. Although I should add that the case shape on many of them is identical to the cushion case Seiko 5 cushion case you have.

P.P.S. The GS tit diver is a lovely watch.

I started out collecting Seiko, including 2 or 3 BellMatics ;)

    Ah. :-)

    How about a PRS-10 or CWC G10 or (pre-Timefactors) Precista G10?

Would that be different enough from your PRS-29B?

Yeh - I like a simple mil watch.

As for old Seikos, I was collecting them before they were cool.....! All autos, paying 20/30 quid for BellMatics, old 5s, pogues, bullheads, any old Chronos etc.
I’ve had almost anything and everything Seiko made in the 60’s and 70’s. Was a Devil’s own job trying to get serviced or repaired/replacement bracelets etc but got most running and enjoyed them for ages - all when I was about 25, and before I found TZ.
That’s what initially brought me here, trying to find out info on obscure stuff. (Actually, I found here via links from MWR forum, and watchuseek forum)

Also flipped them all, every last one, for more or less what I paid. Some I see now that are worth hundreds of quid, lol.

Well for starters there's no Reverso and no mechanical alarm watch in your collection.

Ah, those were the days. ;-) Although it sounds like I came to watch collecting somewhat later than you, I have seen watch prices (including for these sorts of Seikos) increase remarkably over the ten years or so I've been interested. I know what you mean about selling watches and then finding out a few years later they were worth way more!
