    Sepp Blatter a WIS?

Story presently being covered by the BBC....

His claim contains the allegation that Fifa are still in possession of a number of his personal belongings, including around 60 of his watches.
"These are my watches, give me my watches" he said.
"It's important for me. I worked in the watch industry and I made my collection. Forty-one years they were [at Fifa], I could have taken them home, a long time ago.
"Why are they fighting for these watches?
"There is no respect, there is no respect by the president [Infantino]."

Hopefully it's not all football related hublot limited editions!

I imagine his collection would be very impressive. When I read the article I was hoping it would mention a few of them

I imagine they were bought using his ill-gotten gains. I don't think we'll ever know the scale of his corruption. Auction the lot for charity.

Didn't get get a lot of these a bribes from companies and national associations?

Recall coming across an artical that mentioned watches had been left on pillows in hotel rooms for the Exec Fifa committee

I bet many of them were gifts from sponsors, governments and grateful clients.

Gifts that he was forbidden to accept.
Didn’t every member of FIFA receive a Parmigiani(sp) watch from the Brazilian FA for granting the World Cup to them?
I’d imagine the Russians and Qataris were far more generous to this snivelling corrupt charlatan.

Google is your friend here chaps. He used to work for Longines and iirc there has been at least one in depth feature on his collection by a high end lifestyle mag.

Part of me wants to say it was with the Bentley magazine they send out quarterly when you buy one new (which I haven’t btw).

From googling FIFA returned 120 watches to him last year! the ones that are missing are from the 'high technology' element of his collection.

These thieves don't have collections, it's booty.

Why is Blatter not in prison?

Perhaps it's the same reason why Platini and Sarkozy aren't.
