    My First Panerai

Finally taken the plunge and got my Panerai. But first I’m a watch collector and previously Panerai was never on my Radar until our return trip from Spain last year we always go on the coach as I have a major issue with flying! So it’s late everyone is asleep on the coach I can’t sleep and I am watching a film all I can see out the corner of my eye is the guy opposite on his wrist glowing like a damn torch is his Panerai. I was so taken by it. We got chatting in the morning and his watch got me looking for my first one.

Fast forward to last week. I was finally fed up of the Speedie and my want to love it. So a quick text expanse with a guy I’d met a a watch event and bang we have a trade. My Speedie is gone and I am the proud owner of a Panerai 562 in Titanium and man I absolutely love it!

congrats! I bought my first Panerai at the start of the year and I love it.

Now you just have to navigate an entire internet of people explaining how they are dumb oversized fad fake tool watch from the 90's etc

Great choice, also my preferred style of Panerai
Simple, clean, legible dial, it's certainly a change in size and style to the Speedy
    enjoy

Replying to your post from the other thread with some of the options I liked for my 392

This weirdly worked IRL, but looks odd here:

ASW is the real master, basically only bought it having seen a photo of his strap case

I never really got Panerai until I tried this on model courtesy of a TZ-UK member and was amazed at how much I liked it.

Not so much a watch you strap on as a watch you get strapped into.

Can anyone recommend where to buy a decent set of screwdrivers as this one didn’t come with the strap change tool?

I find wooden cocktail sticks work well and are unlikely to scratch the lugs. Assuming this has the quick change mechanism.

Ok so not quick change then. Sadly I can't help with where to source drivers beyond the usual e bay and Amazon stuff.

The genuine parallel ground Panari screwdriver is only about £11 from an AD.

This is a fantastic watch most bloody versatile watch on the market.
Such a simple dial but looks so good on such a variety of straps.

Congrats...now start getting some straps for that bad boy!!! I’ve got one Panerai and dozen different straps and each one makes the watch something different than the others.

44mm was always worried that would be too big for me at a 7” wrist. But it’s a great size.

Yeah I’ve always liked bigger watches too. I’ve just had a look on their website some really nice watches.
