Your hooves look nice and shiny !
In 1975 I appeared in short film which went on general release with "The Man Who Would Be King", starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. My Oscar nominated performance is shortly after 10:30.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
I was expecting a link to a porn website.
Much dissapoint.
.......007 found it harder to blend in when undercover in suburbia.......
On a more serious note, it must have been a great experience to be part of that. ;-)
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Filmed in the days when you could drive straight into a military establishment car park without so much as a barrier in sight!
So the only filmed evidence of your military career is in a pub?
More seriously, it looks impressive.

I really enjoyed that, thank you. What a privilege to be part of something so unique.
Eddie, can I ask, did you have regular military training alongside all of the ceremonial work? Or would this have been something you’d be assigned to for a period and then go back into a regular unit?
You never told me you were a film star!
Cheers,
Neil.
Maybe tone down the eyeshadow next time but I like the blouse.
Have you been watching this?

I used to attend meetings at Wellington Barracks occasionally and, as long as I was wearing a suit, carrying a tightly-furled black umbrella and had a fairly short haircut I would normally get in without ID and would usually get saluted as well. The last time I did this was probably around 2011/12.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
My maternal grandfather was admitted to the Cadre Noir (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadre_Noir) in 1909 or 10. During the war he was moved to the ‘Cavalerie Blindée’, the armoured cavalry, i.e armoured cars and the first Renault tanks.
Before entering the CN, he was preparing to be a jockey (small guy, 5’3).
