"cut-and-paste" - really? Some of course where credit is due - but I hope to put my own spin on them to make them personal. I have added the JLC Geophysic Worldtime True Seconds today (in steel) - last pic below

The quality of your reviews and the accompanying photos are always first rate. I always look out for your posts as your opinion is always valid. A shame you are leaving but hopefully you will be back. The 5146 will be my first Patek when I hit 40 in 5 years so I share your tastes!
    Good luck!

Sorry to see you go Martyn, surely a mere sabbatical as it's clear that you have always been a fanatic amongst many here and your passion is there for all to see. Have enjoyed your reviews and look forward to many more, Good luck with new projects and hope to see you back in the not too distant future.

Hopefully you'll be back when the time is right, you seem like a real watch guy and this place needs people like you, is there a big reason for actually leaving other than life changes, as in there is no need to delete your account and properly leave is there?.

I can understand this, I'm going through a period of disenchantment at the moment, which may have been caused by my impending hospital admission.

Eek. I hope it's something relatively easily manageable, although I well know that all hospital stays are unpleasant at some level.

    Good luck with it!

I can only echo the sentiments of, surely, every other member of your forum and hope that all is well Eddie.

People come and go on forums, and that is what it is - nobody's bigger than the team - but, given that you are the hub that all of this rotates around, it's never going to be good that you become disenchanted...
...this place remains remarkable among its peers and that is, in no small part, due to the core membership but in the largest part down to how you have steered this ship.

    Hope everything goes well.

As with so many others on this thread, I too hope your break won’t be permanent, Martyn. Your contributions have always added value from my perspective.

I think we all go through moments in life where we reassess, and it sounds as if you’re at one of those points now.

Good luck for the future, and I hope we see you back here in due course. As for the trolls, I’ve come to the conclusion that although there will always be the odd few, there’s a lot more good than bad to be had in this forum... so I’m staying!

    Cheers, Simon

    Hi Martyn
Sorry to see you go. I hope you sort out the direction you want to take in life and it works out. Sorry I couldn't meet you in person to pick up the Zenith, maybe another time

Sorry to see you go, hopefully you'll return soon.

Your annual calendar Patek is one of my favourite watches on the forum.

    All the best.
